Itching all over!

Argh, I feel like I have fleas or some sort of skin disease. It's actually woke me up from my nap cos I'm scratching! Its now too the point where I'm scratching myself raw and drawing blood. :( I'm so uncomfortable and I'm in tears! I'm 14+1 and I've had itches the past week but now it's horrifically unbearable!

Why am I itching like this? And how can I stop it :(

No idea but I have heard that if you get unusal itching in pregnancy you should mention it to the midwife but can't remember why. I'd probably call the OOH GP if I were you, just to be on the safe side and also they may be able to recommend something to help.

Hope it passes soon!

What looney says, there is a serious condition called Obstetric Cholestasis where your liver stops working properly during pregnancy, characterised by severe itching.

Called OOH Dr.

Oh gosh, more bloody needles by the sound of google! Some of the itches are unbearable, some i can ignore! With my doctors, I am rarely able to get an appointment unless I sit and wait for the rest of the day or they ask for my details and the staff say I should phone back later (when there's no appointments left) I had to beg the receptionist last time!
I'll defo mention it too my midwife when I see her in 2 weeks time though! May not be able to see a doctor until after then though :(

Hate feeling so crap from it though!

No don't leave it, call NHS Direct if you don't have somewhere else you can go in the evening (we have a place at the local hospital for OOH medical stuff) but NHS Direct would be worth a call!

I think it was the top I wore and the fact I burn up when I sleep! So wasn't a good combination! I changed my top and haven't itched since :) might be my washing powder that has irritated me! As I put a freshly washed top on (washed with different powder)... I'm still going to run it through midwife...
