Hi all,

I'm 6+4 and in the grips of morning sickness. Had ms for a week and working out how to manage it for best. Today I have had:

7.30am- bowl of muesli
10.00am - pitta bread with cheese
12.30 pasta with tomato sauce, feta and basil 400cals
15.00 ham sandwich with mustard
18.30 innocent veg pot

Plus about 12 mint humbugs

This is the first day that I have found the sicknesses manageable but realise its a carb fest and about 2200 cals and I know to maintain my weight I only need about 1600. Honest thoughts welcome ....am I going to be the size of a house in 6 weeks time?

Eat what you can, when you need to. The sickness will subside.

Eventually.

If you need it, eat it. Your pregnant body is v clever IMO in telling you what it needs... Why else would I be addicted to jubbly ice lollies... Grin

Seriously tho, you're in survival mode with morning sickness, it won't last too much longer. Be kind to yourself x

That isn't a carb fest! That's a normal day's worth of food (minus dinner, what did you have for dinner?)... the average woman needs 2000 calories a day, not 1600. Make sure you eat enough - and with MS, as long as it's proper food (bread, pasta, meat, veg, dairy, fruit etc) then anything goes.

You've missed out the cake too. I've had two pieces today. Alright, three. Tbh your list sounds like not as much food as I'd normally eat in a day. Eat what you can and don't worry.

Im not pregnant and that sounds like me on a good diet day!!

Seriously, just get through this period of time eating what ever you can / want. Your body knows what it is doing :)
