Period pain cramping

I found out I was expecting No3 3 days ago. I am 4 weeks and 3 days gone. I keep getting period type pains low down and am scared. I know I should know if this is normal or not but my first was born nearly 20 years ago and my second (4.5 year old DS) was not a normal pregnancy.

I'm scared that something is wrong, I haven't even been to the Dr yet.

Thank you.

My first thought is implantation bleeding, but I'm not entirely sure when that happens.

Hopefully someone else will confirm this.

Thanks Con, it's all so scary. I wish I could go to sleep and wake up at 12 weeks. It wouldn't feel so nerve wracking then!!

I have period pains on & off since before I found out, 18 weeks now, so I think some people just do. Wasn't ever severe though, just niggly (& scary!)

Thanks Username and Rosie, it makes me feel a bit better knowing I'm not the only one. It's true, it really doesn't stop the worry!!

Hello, I have just joined today so any help/advice would be greatly appreciated! I have recently found out I'm pregnant for the first time and I'm really happy and exited, I'm about 4 weeks so still very early!
Last week I experienced some period pain cramping but after reading this forum I felt very reassured that some cramping was normal, however earlier on today I had quite strong cramps that resulted in me being in a hot sweat? After about 5 minutes it eased off and I've been fine since but I'm very worried about it, has anyone experienced this? I have not got my first appt with a midwife until 4th dec which is when I will be approx 8 weeks as they said they do not need to see me until then? Thanks

Hi I'm 4+3 today too with number 2 and getting dull cramps here and there which just assume are normal stretching as I have no spotting etc

marie - could be a cramp due to bad guts? Every thing is moving and stretching around and some people get extra gassy which can give you cramps if it's trapped (sorry if TMI)
The waiting from now til your booking in appt and dating scan is agony, you are pg but can 't tell people and don't look it.
