No mw appointment from 38wks until 41wks. Normal?

Is it normal?

I'm sure I saw the mw every week from 38 weeks previously.

Ds2 was kicking off at my last mw appointment in a tired rage (15 months, appointments late, he was hungry etc) and it wasn't my usual mw.

So just took the appointment she gave me and made a swift exit.

I feel well etc-just curious

My mw said I'd be seen every week from 37/38 weeks. Although she's on holiday this week, she has booked me in with someone else.

I'm 38+1 and feeling ok (apart from the itching) but I suppose anything could happen between now and giving birth.

Can you phone your usual mw and ask if she wants to see you before then?

I'm on DC2 and think I should be seeing a MW every wk between 38 and 41. They need to monitor you at this stage to ensure growth etc continues correctly and you don't need early induction.

I would def phone and get another appointment before 41wks.

In my area, you see the MW at 36, 38 and 41 weeks with DC2+. With DC1, there's an additional appt at 40 weeks.

I just had my group booking for DC2. In out area it's only 38 and 41 wks for a subsequent child, NICE guidelines apparently. They invite you for more appts if they think you need them.

Saw mine at 36,38 and 40 (although the 40 appt was actually on 40+ 4)

Am seeing her again tomorrow for 41 - a home appointment.

This is Dc3 and I think you get weekly ones from 38 if its DC1

NICE guidelines:
First baby - 38, 40 and 41 weeks
Subsequent baby - 38 and 41 weeks
