I didn't feel dd2 until i was about 22 weeks, however if you are worried then get checked out.

Thanks for that double, good to know it's not just me. I know there can be differences between women as to when they feel movements but almost all books/websites etc say for 2nd DC you can feel them 16 weeks and I've so been trying to feel them but I'm really not sure if I have.

I feel a bit daft ringing the midwife to tell her I've not felt anything yet. I didn't really like my named midwife when I met her two weeks ago, she wasn't very friendly and she didn't seem like the woman who take kindly to my paranoia.

I didn't feel this one until 19 weeks about the same as my first pregnancy, I have an anterior placenta too which means movements aren't as obvious til later on. Don't worry.

Same as Pips: anterior placenta means I felt movement later than first baby!

I didn't feel this one until after my 20 week scan - I have an anterior placenta this time. Thankfully we had a gender scan at 16 weeks which picked up on it then, or I'd have been panicking more than I was already I felt DS at 16 weeks. Now 32 weeks this Friday and she's had me up since 4am having a rave.

Make sure you ask! My sonographer only told me when I specifically asked where the placenta was..

I'm pregnant with my forth atm and I was ringing my midwife at 19+wks haveing a melt down because I hadn't felt any thing . I'm now 21 wks and feeling a lot more . each baby really is different so try not to worry . I just don't think you ever get used to it or less panicky no matter how many you have :-)

I'm 17 weeks with my second and haven't felt any movement yet. MW earlier this week said it's still very early to feel movement, especially as I've got an anterior placenta again.

Please take the home Doppler with a pinch of salt. A MW once showed me how easy it is for the Doppler to double your own heartbeat and mislead you into thinking you've heard baby so giving you a false sense of security. Also, the student MW couldn't find my baby's heartbeat at the checkup this week - all was well but an anterior placenta can make it hard to find at this early stage. So don't panic if you can't get a heartbeat with it.

Heart monitor arrived today. Heartbeat sounds fine.

Just waiting to feel definite movements now....

I thought I could feel movements at 17/18 weeks with number 2 but wasn't definitely sure until 19 weeks. Then he went quiet in week 20, which was a bit of a worry until I had my scan and everything was fine. Now at 23 weeks he seems to be moving all the time! Think he's going to be a wriggle-bum!!

Same here! 2nd pregnancy, not heard baby move yet despite everyone saying you feel it earlier second time round. 20 weeks now & feeling the very occasional flutter but nothing else. Also have anterior placenta this time however which seems to explain it!
