Feel so moody, exhausted and generally shit

35+4 with second baby. Relatively uncomplicated pregnancy, some SPD but functioning. I'm really starting to feel heavy now though and running after 2 year old, no sleep and trying to shift my workload (self employed) before I give birth is just getting too much. I feel distant from and irritated by DP, who is also shattered as working insane hours
to try to feather nest before baby comes).
Just ugh. I know I'm whining but nobody gets it. Except other pregnant people.

Snap!
34+1
No complications
Finishing up at work
Active 2 year old
= tired, irritable and struggling to breathe.
Just want to rest and nest now.

Will you be able to finish work soon. What about babysitters/childcare. MIL will look after DS for a day a week up until the birth so I'm hoping to get some chill time in.

Family live abroad so no help there, they're all descending when baby comes so I can look forward to help after the birth.

DS has just started nursery three mornings a week which I am using to get my work done, a huge improvement on my previous circumstances when I was working in the evenings. I know I have it good really, this is just a bad patch.

Totally relate to wanting to just nest and rest. Would luxuriate in washing and folding newborn clothes right now. Not enough hours in the day and I am so very slow and cumbersome!

I can empathise... 39+2 here with 3 and a half year old ds, dh with major career exam in 2 weeks time having to work and revise 24/7. I've basically had to do everything with regard to getting things ready for baby, look after house, cook, childcare, getting up twice a night with ds as he is a poor sleeper (along with the additional zillion times I have to get up to go to the loo). I went on mat leave at 35 weeks though, it was too much otherwise. I've been in early labour all weekend now Hmm and was up carrying ds to the toilet at 3am saturday night - there is no rest! Keep thinking when I go into labour at least I'll get to just lie in a bed for a while! Wink Gotta look on the bright side hey...

Having relatives come after the birth will be a big help for you so long as they don't drive you nuts If you can just get through these tough few weeks you'll have baby in your arms, people around to help and it will all have seemed worth it, I am sure. hugs

Ha! Love the idea of hospital stay as a chance to lie downGrin. Your workload makes mine sound a spa break, hope labour goes well and you get to relax soon!
