Advice needed (TMI)

Hi,
This is my first post, I would like some advice if possible.

My period is usally 5 days, it started monday afternoon but stopped suddenly wednesday. I had no period for 24hrs then I had what I would call "old bleeding" on and off today.

I feel nauseas so I did a pregnancy test, I was expecting a negative to be honest but there seems to be the very faintest, barely there line?

Could I be pregnant even though I had a short normal looking period, has anyone else experienced this and if it is not pregnancy related does anyone perhaps know the cause?

Thanks B. xx

Do another test tomorrow morning first pee of the day.

Folk on here often describe "implantation bleed". I have not experienced this but they swear by it.

Think its where the baby implants and causes bleeding.

Also my pal had a period every month..discovered she was pregnant at 24 weeks!

Did the line come up immediately? Yes I agree you can have lighter bleeding that you mistake for a period when pregnant. The only way to know is to test again. I found First response early response tests the most sensitive. I had a couple of barely there lines with other brands but a clear answer with the FRER.

Hi!

I have no tests left to take, I don't drive and I'm trying not to alert the hubby incase it's a false alarm, lol!

Not helpful, I know. :-)

I'm trying not to get my hopes up, my hubby had his vasectomy reversed in March this year and we have been trying ever since.

I'm driving myself mad I think. :-(

Yes, the line came up almost immediately but it is SO faint, I'm afraid I'm just seeing things...or it's an evaporation line?

I also wanted to add that the short period I did have wasn't what I would call light, so I'm a bit confused.com?

I just took a pic, like I say, the line is so barely there but I'm sure there is one.

Does anyone know what an evaporation line looks like? x

Evap lines tend to appear after the reccomended time period is up and IME they look grey rather than blue/pink. You're more likely to get an evap line on the blue due tests.

evap lines are noticable int he light, tend to be colourless but there iyswim.

They apear after the 5-10 minutes after the test is done.

The line is barely visible so I'm not sure of the colour but the line came up about 30 seconds after the 1st line.

I'm literally shaking!

I'm going to walk to B&M Store, it's just down the road, they sell a pack of 3 tests for £1.

Thank you all so much for your advice, it is so welcome and appreciated right now.

I didn't realise evaporation lines appear AFTER the test is done?

I will keep you all posted.

I hope so sighs
I'm working tomorrow, I will do the test in the morning and let you know what the result is when I get home. x

What if it's negative? That would be so confusing?

If its negative it's either - a. A false positive (rare but I have had a couple) or b. a chemical pregancy where you were pregnant enough to get a positive test but it didn't implant properly. But don't dwell on the negative. I did 11 tests before I really trusted I was pregnant! :)

Thank you, that's what I'm thinking "chemical pregnancy".

I'm trying to stay positive either way. :-)

Thank you all so much for your advice and kind words, I'm sending myself a bit doolally with all this, lol!

Tomorrow morning pee in a pot rather than on the stick. That way you can keep the sample and use another test. FWIW my ultimate test (esp for an early result) is a first response early response (non digital). Expensive but worth it.
Best of luck for tomorrow (a faint line is a line though, so I'm pretty sure congratulations are in order!)

I agree with Marmite!
Pee in a pot rather than directly on to the stick, that way you can retest the pee! Lol

I had with both pregs implantation bleeds and neg. tests!!
Our oldest son is now 5yrs and I'm almost 30 was with baby 2.

I'd say if you are seeing a line then you are!
also the digital clear blue tests are also very good they actually say pregnant / not pregnant, so no confusion.

Good luck and keep us all posted! X

Yes to weeing in a pot and first wee of the day. Have to disagree with the digital one sorry, if its still early days as I think they are less sensitive at this time? I would Get a First Response if I were you (maybe a two pack, so you have a second for the following day or for piece of mind!?) worth the£!

One of my closest friends took one at mine last week and there was the faintest of lines although not particularly blue.. It did come up within the 3 mins (which is important) and it almost looked like a line where a line could have been if that makes sense?? (Having seen a positive myself and she hasn't) she was late for her period, took the same brand test two days later was a crystal clear positive. (She sent me a pic!)

Don't want to get your hopes up but I do think there is a chance. Good luck Smile keep us posted!
