In the past couple of days I have developed really itchy hands and feet, a bit like eczema. It drives me nuts and wakes me up at night.... anyone else?

Best get to the Drs and check you don't have obstetric cholestasis www.nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/pages/itching-obstetric-cholestasis-pregnant.aspx#Serious

Phone your midwife. It sounds a lot like obstetric cholestasis. From a quick skim on this link, the condition is not usually dangerous but they may want to monitor you more.

Thanks, I had never heard of it. I called the GP who fobbed me off saying it does not sound like OC (even though according to the OC website I have the symptoms), called the hospital who said I should call the midwife to check it out. MW closed till 1.30 so I will try them in a bit... erk, I wish it was not Friday so I would have time to test. :((

Been to the mw and she is doing a test even though her gut feeling is that it is not OC. She said I did the right thing though as if it is OC they will probably want to see me this weekend and I guess monitor the baby or induce. If I don't hear from the hospital tonight or tomorrow, it won't be OC. I am glad I went, and I not impressed by the GP who was not very interested at all.

good o, glad you are getting tested and hope the results are ok.

Yes GP sounds a bit rubbish. TBH I'd always rather speak to a MW for pregnancy related stuff as they deal with preg ladies day in day out whereas GPs are generalists. But given that, I think the GP should have suggested you phone the MW.
