where did these saddlebags come from?!

Just wanted a bit of a vent with people who get it... After feeling quite smug with myself for keeping the weight gain quite low for the first 16 weeks, I now have massive saddlebags! Where did they come from? I'm sure I was only admiring my still rather slim legs the other day, and now they're huge! And I've put on about 3 pounds in the last week! I still dont have a proper bump though. Still, at least its better than feeling sick and heartburny most of the time, shouldn't complain really. but still...

On the plus side, at least I have a valid excuse!

I've got 'em too - apparently it's a way for your body to shore up support in your legs for the growing bump. Don't worry about weight gain - just try to eat sensibly.

Oh me too.. got away with being all smug due to staying a pretty similar size for the first 7 months (apart from being untoned due to inability to exercise cause of feeling crap) but then suddenly my hips and thighs are mahooosive. With gulp cellulite Shock even on my knees.

And the most bizarre thing- not eating any differently! Must be the metabolism [am nodding sagely here]. Oh well! two weeks to go & then perhaps the saddlebags will be sucked up with the breastfeeding. Way to trial a point at least..

I feel your pain!
I am 19+6 and a fat cow. Trousers which were almost falling off me in April are now too tight. Bump distinctly bigger than your average 20 weeks, although in certain lights it still just looks like crisps (and probably is).
I am still exercising lots thank goodness, if I wasn't I'd probably have spread to epic proportions. I CANNOT WAIT to go running again and join Weightwatchers.
Hey ho, in the meantime I'll just have to live with it. Pass the Monster Munch...
