That's it really. I have resolved to keep active and go swimming every day etc, but it's going to be pissing down with rain all week, so I think I'll just get some sofa time. Any recommendations?

I recently picked up all 4 seasons of Big bang theory cheaply, great show plus only 22 min episodes probably useful if your tired or when your feeding the baby.

Guybrush I love your nickname! In fact a bit of Monkey Island would be good to fill my time...
24 and Heroes are good calls, haven't seen them. Thanks!

:) I've gone through the Tales of series and the first two whilst being off. It's been very nostalgic!

Oh also it has a lot of sex and violence but Spartacus (blood and sand and gods of the arena) are well worth a watch

Don't watch Dexter. Far too gory. (I love it but it would have made me puke if I'd watched it while pg)

I have been at home a lot recently following surgery, and have been loaned The Killing (I've watched series 1 - amazing - with series 2 to go) and 3 seasons of The Good Wife.

Have The Wire 4 & 5 to go, but haven't really been in the mood for them yet. Also have Treme.

I was also sent the entire series of The Young Ones!!

Ooooooh True Blood, everyone raves about Erik but it's vampire Bill I have the swoons for.
I will second Game of Thrones. Supernatural is also good.

You can't go wrong with Will&Grace, Desperate Housewives or similar.

Purplecatti - have you seen True Blood series 4? :)

Mad men, dexter, west wing, sopranos is a big favourite of mine, pretty violent though!! And super addictive. Game of thrones, family guy or American dad for some comedy. Big bang theory or how I met your mother for shorter light comedy. Will keep thinking!!

Sopranos has to be at the top of any TV-must list. Best thing that has ever been on television. Fact.

Also: Breaking Bad, The Wire (stick with it), Six Feet Under, Mad Men, In Treatment, Rome

Good US mini-series:
Mildred Pierce, Angels in America

For stuff that's a bit lighter:
Entourage, Ugly Betty, True Blood (first season or two only), Summer Heights High, Sex and the City.

Some UK stuff if you missed it first time:
The Office/ Extras, Sherlock, Life on Mars...

That should keep you busy Smile

Oooh yes, Gilmore Girls is perfect mat leave fodder. It's on every day atm

I'd save the boxsets for when you are doing endless feeding with a newborn.
Make the most of your maternity leav by doing some things that you will find harder with a baby - go to the cinema, have a pub lunch. Swimming is good. Read a book.
