Where can I get bottomless vests from (without the popper gusset thingy)?

I really want some vests that don't pop together at the bottom -they're like vests that a grown ups wear but baby ones. I know they exist but I can't see, to find them in ANY shops.

Any ideas? Thought they'd be useful for putting under sleepsuits/baby grows in winter

Honestly, you'll want ones with poppers. Other ones will ride up and be uncomfortable and let their tummy get cold. Poppers are your friend

Well I'm thinking of them for layering up and I thought two lts of poppers (vest and then bodysuit) would be annoying.

But then I've never dressed a baby before in my life so...

You need the ones with the poppers.

John Lewis sell them. They are great for quick middle of the night changes, dealing with lots of poppers used to fully wake DS up.

Mothercare sell them.
Fab especially in the first couple of weeks when the clamp will be attached to the cord stump, but generally baby will probably be more comfortable in the bodysuits (vests with poppers)

They don't ride up when you pick baby up.

Forget it. You need the poppers. They keep the nappy in place.

I still search out poppers for my 2 yr old. I love poppers.

You'll be fine with a popper vest under practically anything. DD wasn't a newborn in winter, but if it was particularly long, she'd have a long sleeved vest under her sleepsuit and a gro bag at night. In the day: long sleeved vest, t-shirt and cardi, tights under trousers on very cold days.

If you really want to layer, just a normal tshirt over the vest would do it. Like I said though, Mothercare do just about every vest combo you can think of. It's their only saving grace IMHO - they are very good at vests!

I used to layer DS in long sleeved and short sleeved popper-vests together in winter. No problem at all, not too bulky, even with cloth nappy. But Mothercare sell what you are after OP.

I used to put DS in long sleeved vests with a nice bright t-shirt over the top, fine for inside in the winter and outside on warmer days. It was great because it looked fab, and then I just used the t-shirts on their own in the summer when he had grown into them properly!

Sorry for highjack but puffpants puh-lease tell me where you found poppered vests for a 2 yr old, I've searched high and low with no joy. Have just bought a pack of popperless ones but am not happy!

I got poppered vests in age 2-3 from M&S - they had some lovely brightly coloured ones (though not in that size on the day, I got boring pale blue striped ones!). Trouble is DS didn't wear them much as I got them at the end of last winter, and I'm hoping by the time it starts getting cold this year he'll be getting towards potty training (currently 2.2)!

again, poppered vests to be worn right up until potty training (when it stops being practical). Add a sleep suit on top, or t-shirt and trousers/leggings and that's them dressed. Long sleeved ones are good for winter babies where people will insist on buying you short sleeved t-shirts. (so you still have the same number of layers)

I also would suggest you get some wrap vests like these - great if you put one of these on and a sleep suit you don't actually have to put anything over your baby's head - sooo much easier for getting them dressed in the first couple of weeks.
