I find overbump give a more flattering shape (underbump make it look a bit like podge imho) and I always found anything tight under my bump hurt. Can't recommend a brand though as I'm a shortie :o

ASOS overbump skinnies are fab (or as fab as maternity jeans get). I'm 5'9" and have the longer length ones and they're just the right length.

I liked next under bump skinnies until about month 8, then overbump ones from h&m

I've bought two pairs of Topshop underbump Baxter skinnies, from Ebay. I'm 22 weeks now and just started needing them about a fortnight ago, when my old size 12s definitely wouldn't fasten anymore.

I really like these Baxter ones as for some reason I find anything going over my bump really uncomfortable. If I put leggings on, for example, I just end up pushing them down.

Can't recommend a brand for tall people though, I'm only 5ft 6. Sorry!

H&M over bump ones every time.

Sooooooooooo comfy!

And legs are long too.

Next underbump are pretty good if you are tiny and they dont drive you mad by digging in and/or exposing your ass-crack at all opportunities..

Next overbump are good as long as you are quite large/size of a pregnant wilderbeest otherwise they wont stay up!

Second h and m, I've had some good light weight grey ones, over bump and stay up. Gap skinny jeans. One in long which is really long, over bump with a flesh colour band so doesn't show thru white tops!

Another vote for over the bump H&M ones. I am average height and had to chop a huge amount off the bottom so they are quite long. I actually don't want to go back to normal jeans - have become very partial to the big stretchy waist! I also like the over the bump ones as I have a long body, so tops tend to ride up, and I'd rather be showing off the bump panel than my stretch marks...

Bought some over the bump jeans from Next and they're awful. The bump bit is very thin and whilst hoiking them up they ripped. The waistband sits very low, much lower than most ordinary jeans and this is why they kept falling down - the crotch bit travelled down towards my knees with every step. Got a pair of over the bump jeans from New Look which are much better and don't fall down - the bump bit is quite thick, so it stays put and the waistband is higher up. I wouldn't normally shop in New Look, but at £15.99, I thought they were worth a try. They go up to a 34 leg, I think. I got a 30 leg and I'm 5ft5 - I'm usually a 32 leg everywhere else!

I like the H&M overbump apart from the fact that I feel like Obelix in them. Not a hot look. My DF rolls his eye when he sees them.

I have a pair of H&M underbump trousers which are cute and comfy.

Sounds like I should be trying Next under bump jeans if I find the energy to go into town!

I have bought some lovely over bump jeans but am waiting to grow into them as they seem much bigger than all my other trousers! I got them in asda and they had different leg lengths too! :)

For those of you with the H&M jeans - what's the sizing like?

I often need to size up for H&M, is their maternity wear on the small side?

Long Tall Sally cater specifically for tall people. They are the only place I can get long enough trousers from. I have a pair of over the bump jeans from them that have seen me through the whole pregnancy. Although they are slightly more pricey than the usual high street brands.

I have been EVERYWHERE!! and thoroughly road tested a large number of maternity jeans and finally found a pair I love. They're from M&S and the tag says M&S Woman... actually they're jeggings "Maternity Wide Waistband Plain Denim Jeggings", which I have previously thought a hideous concept, but these ones are really just like maternity jeans. I'm new to Mumsnet, so don't really know too much protocol, but I loved all the advice and thoughts that everyone shared and I'd love to be able to help out in return... so I hope this helps a bit! I'm 5'10" and usually a size 10 and I've put some pictures on my profile page if anyone wants to see how they fit. They're nice and long without being too long, they're overbump and I haven't had to hoik them up once despite wearing them all day yesterday and today! So I can recommend them and assure you at the same time I have no affiliation with M&S!! x

I'm 5'8" and have Topshop Leigh skinny jeans. Underbump and still fit well at 26 weeks and counting but they do need hoiking up quite a bit!

Hi All,

I'm doing some research into the lack of maternity clothing for taller women. I'm 6ft 1 and although in the last few years there has been an increase in tall ranges on the high street, I still think there is a real lack of tall maternity clothing.

I have put together a small survey and I would love to hear your opinions and experiences on the matter. Its only 10 questions so will be super quick.

If anyone has any comments or opinions on this subject it would be great to hear from you.

Thanks

Asos have a tall maternity range and I have bought some great overbump jeans from there. I'm now 32 weeks and they've started to get a little uncomfortable however! I got a pair of long tall sally maternity work trousers off eBay which have been a godsend because I really struggled with workwear. Good luck!
