Family Wedding What to Wear???

Hi,

My brother is getting married in 10 weeks time by then I will be 24 weeks. I'm already in maternity clothes. I have been searching the net for a lovely maternity maxi dress, that is not only wedding-y but will see me through the summer months too.

I don't want to go too expensive either. I've seen some lovely dress from Isabella Oliver and Tiffany Rose, but they are a bit out of my price range :(

Does anyone have any idea where I can get a dress from??

Thanks

i would say you'd probably get away with a maxi dress in the next size of normal clothes, next do a relatively priced mat range so have a look on there, or ebay???

How about Seraphine? They have a few maxi-dresses and the prices are more affordable

I've already spotted this for a wedding that I can probably not go to now as they've brought my due date forward.

I wore a maxi dress from H&M in their normal clothes just a size up until I popped - was excellent!

Yup, another vote for h & m maxi dress. I'm 33 weeks and still in my one from before I was pregnant despite my massiveness Grin

I'm currently bidding on a few things on eBay for a wedding we are going to when I will be 38 weeks pregnant. It's not til September but this wedding is already costing us a fortune (hence still going even when I'll likely be the size of your average family car) so I'm hoping to bag a bargain. There are loads of things. Search by some of the nicer brands rather than just maternity.

I read on another thread the other day visiting a personal shopper at one of the department stores (might have been debenhams)

Failing that for me it'll be a black maxi, some nice flip flops sandals and sparkly jewellery Smile

That was me "newton*
Made appointment with personal shoopper (free) to get an outfit for my MILs wedding (this weekend) when I will be 37 weeks. Am very pleased with what I got, and was cheaper than any other dress I've ever bought for a wedding.(and it is a not a maternity dress, just debenhams own range I think, so will be suitable for after birth too).
I took the shoes with me that I wanted to wear so she took them round the shop with her when she went to fill her rail with clothes. Being in a fair amount of pain if I walk about for long, the personal shopper takes all the stress and hassle of carrying clothes and waiting in queues - magic when you feel like a heffalump! I highly recommend them!!

Aha missg good tip... If I get to August with nothing to wear, I'll be heading down to debenhams! Incidentally, I've spotted some lovely sandals this weekend so I'm half way there Grin

(sorry for the thread hijack!)

Thanks for all your great tips.

Had a look at the suggested sites, thanks Sparklekitty the maxi dress in Mamas and Papas was exactly what I was looking for, will look great with a denim jacket and flip flops and stunnung with a pair of sandals and a fascinator. So will be keeping that one in mind if I don't find anything else.

I will defo though be taking advanatge of the personal shopper in debenhams, wouldn't mind being treated like a cleb for an hour or two :o
