shalwar kameez for maternity wear- calling Asian mums

Just started a thread on this under Parenting but realised it might fit better here. I need a smart outfit which will also accomodate my bump and was thinking a shalwar kameez would be just the thing. Can anyone recommend any shops in London that stock shalwar kameez? Particularly ones that do maternity wear? Somewhere in Wembly or even central London (now that Cherie Blair wears them!)?

you need something that either fits under the bump, or above it, or at least i did
im not much help im afraid as mom had mine made for me in pakistan and brought them over. however i think that most shops will do some that are very loose styles. just go in and ask really.
also depends what you want to wear them for. dressy, or casual? there is a shop in tooting that i love, khushbu. dont know wembley at all im afraid.

there are loads of shops on ealing road in wembley that do indian clothing. Have you tried there? I'm even seen maternity wear on ebay. Most places do them made to fit and advertise in the windows so it'd be worth a wander down there. I now a few shops in croydon that do them to order, but that is a bit further away. I've never worn one personally, but go to elaing road for other indian stuff can't get elsewhere.

I need it very smart and alas don't have time to have it made so will need to buy off the peg.

khushbu in tooting do lots of gorgeous dressy stuff. and they will fix it for you if to tight or loose. if they re not busy will do it then and there.

if its dressy you want, have you thought about a sari?

Thanks, will try kushbu and the ealing road. I had thought of a sari but feel more comfortable in a kameez and less risk of things going wrong!
