Does anyone have the same problem as me? I am 24 weeks pregnant with my second child and cannot stay comfy and asleep due to pai in my hips. It happens on the side i am asleep on so I roll over and the same happens that side after a while? I have tried body pillows and nothing seems to be working? Please help?

Sounds like it could be SPD/PGP to me :-s if a pillow between knees at night doesn't help perhaps see your gp could be referred to a physiotherapist to offer better help

I have had really sore hips in the night from really early on. Physio has helped along with sleeping on a Duvet.

ouch weeze i have had this too for ages (27 weeks) just thought it was one of those things but it kills so i roll onto back to give it a rest and then feel awful for sleeping on my back, but I don't think I can stand more than an hour on my side. is it the extra weight do you think? I only have baby weight don't think I have put much else on... maybe we could try sleeping on duvet like mcbaby suggests? it is a bugger isn't it.

I had this really badly with DD1 and it was so uncomfortable......Sad
By the time DD2 came along I had invested in a memory foam mattress topper and that REALLY helped, though I know that other people find these too soft/squishy........I felt that it gave me more support than sleeping on a duvet.......

I've had hip pain from the end of my first trimester onward (25 weeks now). Can recommend the memory foam mattress topper and my pregnancy yoga classes really help too. (I've been told that the best way to help is by strengthening your core muscles)

I have this too. 22 weeks with DC1. The nights where I manage to keep a pillow between my knees and ankles seem to be a bit better but I might try sleeping on some more padding. Does anyone know if the long pregnancy pillows are any good for helping this? I already do pregnancy yoga and on those nights it seems less painful.

I used a sheepskin thingy under my sheet tgat is meant for pressure sores and it worked really well.

Try keeping your knees together so your hips are straight when you are on your side, this seemed to help me, with a pillow between the knees.

Well i tried the duvet underneath me and already have a pillow between my knees and I have to say it did help a little. Last night I resorted to sleeping on my back but propped up again :-(

I find a duvet underneath me and sleeping propped up is the only thing that works now...
