Hello everyone,
So Im approx 8 1/2 weeks pregnant (waiting for midwife to confirm on first appointment) with my first baby. Up until now ive been pretty ok - tired and a little nausea but always on an evening not a morning. Then last night wowza 9pm the vomiting started sleeping proved very difficult as I continued to be sick until about 1am this morning - today I am exhausted and still feel a little sickly. I havent told work yet as I want to wait until my 12 week scan but OMG how do people work feeling like this!! haha Any ideas to make this ease?? :)

Might you have picked up a bug?

Hope you feel better soon. The nausea/vomiting is v hard to handle Sad. I hope it passes quickly for you.

Unfortunately the sickness can happen at any time of the day. Carry round toothbrush and toothpaste in your handbag/desk drawer for work. Listen to your body. Keep hydrated. Eat when you can (little and often tends to help) and don't feel bad if the only things that will settle your tum are complete garbage. I was lucky in that I didn't have ms but did have constant nausea and for about 10 weeks I lived off salt&vinegar crisps, mini cheddars, sausage rolls and rice crispies!

Ironically I found eating constantly the only thing that starved off the sickness.... Those motion sickness wrist bands were helpful too. Hopefully it won't last too much longer for you. Oh, and congratulations!

Ah thanks everyone - it has finally eased and feel a bit more functional. Will be happy if that's my only bout of actual sickness thought I might be about to die haha!
Looking forward to what's to come :)

Sounds like a tummy bug to me! I know there has been something going around in our parts at least. Glad you're feeling better!

I'm 8+2 with DC3 and am feeling constantly sick, have been heaving at various times of the day.
The last few nights I've been waking at 4am and not being able to get back to sleep for ages as I feel so sick!
Tried the Seabands but they really bruised me!
Having crackers to stave off hunger which makes it worse. All I have eaten lately is junk.
Have spent all day on sofa as DS's with Granny for the day. Want to throw up whenever I move Sad!
Had hoped to get some overdue chores done but only managed to put a load of washing on.
Am so miserable but I keep thinking 2 weeks ago I was worried I had no symptoms. Perhaps I'll be lucky and it will pass soon.
Sorry for the epic whinge!
