Get it checked, best to be safe especially with reduced movements.

Give the hospital or your community team a call. They will let you know what you should do next. I'm sure they would much rather see you and put your mind at rest/pick up any problems now than have you sat at home worrying.

Good luck x

I felt like this a couple of times during my pregnancy, always best to be checked out than to ignore a problem for two reasons..

1 ) For me if I tried to ignore something it'd make me worry more and my symptoms would always start to feel worse than if I was reassured by a MW or Dr.

2 ) If there is a problem it's always worth risking looking like the hypercondriac than potentially ignoring something that could be a sign you or your baby are unwell.

I used to take issue with my MW about how lack of foetal movements was handled. Every other appointment I'd mention that he'd been a bit quieter than usual and she'd, quiet rightly, tell me to ring the MDAU and get monitored. Great idea in principle but every time I called the unit they'd ask if I'd had any movements and when I'd say yes but no where near as much as normal, they'd say but if you have had movements you are fine stay home and call again if they've not picked up tomorrow. It would have been nice if my MW and the hospital could read from the same hymn sheet. DS was born early in January and is perfectly healthy so no harm done but don't put up with any shit, if you are worried get seen!.

Count the kicks suggests at least 10 movements in two hours, best to pick most active time or try to get baby moving by eating ice-cream, drinking tea or coke then resting propped up to count them.
