Measles in Pregnancy

I'm 20 weeks pregnant and was called in to OH at work (I work in hospital administration) for a routine blood to measure my immunity against rubella, measles and chickenpox and it turns out that despite an MMR booster before I got pregnant, I am still not immune to measles.

OH have told me to avoid clinical areas and gatherings of mums and young kids outside of work but can't help but feel a little disheartened as I was hoping to start networking with other parents in my area so after the baby is born i wouldn't feel totally isolated. I also wanted to go to the baby show in London with my mum.

Has anyone else had any experience of this. I wouldn't do anything to put my baby at risk but am just not sure how far the OH advice should be applied - It was just pure coincidence that I had my bloods done when I did

OH means 'other half' typically on mums net. Is that who you mean? Or has someone medical told you this. I would be closely following what a midwife or doctolr told me to do in these circumstances.

I would double check with your midwife then to see if he/she agrees with their advice. Measles is very serious, and is on the rise in some places because some parents have refused to allow their children to have the mmr jab. There have been cases where I live in south of england
