Woke up in the middle of the night with a taste of vomit in my mouth

At 36 weeks tried to get to bathroom as quickly as possible but then nothing happened.

I didn't eat anything special so I was wondering what could have caused that.
Didn't also have any pain anywhere.

Just felt a bit scared to woken up like that.

I had this in my first pregnancy and it was heartburn. Never experienced heartburn before so was a bit worried/anxious. Couldn't sleep all night as could taste vomit!

Indigestion?

Its been happening to me at night too. I take more gaviscon then sit awake for hours Angry

I get this too... It is indigestion/acid reflux I believe.

I try to eat at least 3 hrs before bed, glug down half a bottle of Gaviscon at bedtime, and sleep on about 20 pillows as gravity helps... Some nights it still keeps me awake though. Am also about 35/36 weeks so the end is nigh...or so I tell myself.

Hope you feel better soon!

I find Rennies help more than Gaviscon for some reason. They taste better too - the fruit flavoured ones, anyway.

Drinking a glass of milk at bedtime can help too, and avoide acidic food and drinks like tomatoey sauces, fatty food, coffee, tea and fizzy drinks.

Me too. Woke myself up the other night burping up a mouthful of acid. It was disgusting. Hadn't had anything to eat later than usual, or anything particularly controversial. I'm trying to sleep as propped up as possible, and glug Gavison before going to bed.
Also, I almost always barf just bending over to get washing out machine/unload dishwasher/picking stuff off floor etc. Horrible. Clearly, I need a maid Smile

This is familiar Sad and sounds like reflux... Gaviscon helps, as does not eating after 6pm and restricting liquids a couple of hours before bed.
I now sleep sitting up which is getting old fast.
