Baby thermometres and white vinegar

Hello all, happy new year!

Two weeks to go until my due date and I'm shopping for the last bits n' bobs for our new baby. I'm trying to find a thermometre which takes the baby's temperature (we've already got a room thermometre) and there are a few out there but I don't want to commit to buying something that might end up being a bit naff. I've read that we shouldn't take baby's temperature rectally, but the Avent thermometre says that this can be used rectally, so I'm a bit confused. Anyone found a really good thermometre? And if so, in which ways can it be used to take baby's temperature?

Also, desperately trying to find white vinegar to wash our second-hand washable nappies that are a bit hard-feeling. Anyone know the best place to buy this stuff?

Thanks for any advice!

Cheers xx

you can get white vinegar in big canisters online from summernaturals.co.uk/ fairly cheap - marvelous stuff Wink

i used a braun ear thermometer but only if i thought dd was poorly it's not something you need to do frequently.
