For me its indian food, once a week we'd get a curry, onion bhajis the works and my dp would basically have to fight me off to get a share, now though even just writing down onion bhajis made me boark! ive battled on tryin to finish my whole plate since getting pg, but since the last on new years eve, i spent the night waiting to throw so have backed down, its probably a good hing so i wont get even fatter but still its my worst nightmare come true! i cant eat indian but all of a sudden am in love with sprouts?????

Please tell me this feeling goes away, i need currys in my life!!!

it will go away, i was ahappy vegan eating loads of lentils and veg everyday. i couldn't even say the word lentil. had to change my diet completely and move to being vegetarian with fish!!! still last week enough was enough all that cheese and fish was making me all puffy and achy. i am 34 weeks now and went back to my vegan diet and feel great again with no aches or pains, swelling etc. eating loads of veg and lentils again. so in my experience it will pass and your curry love will return but it will take its time :)

Yes, big time. Can't stand the thought of some of my favourite foods.

And loving 'healthy' things like cereal and raw vegetables which I'm not normally a huge fan of!

How far along are you? I haven't had any cravings but went off a lot of my favourite things until about 20 weeks (chicken, potatoes and cheese Shock)

I am now back on potatoes and cheese with a vengeance, although I still have the odd boak moment about chicken.

I went off chocolate and cheese until about 15/16 weeks. Can eat them again now though.

I am also off chilli sauce - though more for heartburn related reasons. Ditto lime juice.

I went off salads!!

Mainly i think i went off Rocket and cherry tomatoes. We used to have a lovely salad with quiche or with fish cakes and things and suddenly the thought of making up a salad made me gag. I didnt even have bad morning sickness.
I also used to make up a warm pasta dish with peppers, olives, cherry tomatoes and a tomatoe sauce and the thought of it made me gag too.

Im 29 weeks now and have tried the pasta dish again for the 1st time, it went ok, but I cant say I really enjoyed it! Ive had bits of lettuce or a cherry tomatoe as bits of a side salad and nibbled at these, but I couldnt face a big bowl of heathly green salad, which is bad as I would be getting loads of vitamins etc from this.

I went off chocolate for the 1st 12 weeks and a bit more, but found it easy enough to eat this again!!

Hi,
im 18 weeks now, there is tons i cant eat through heartburn alone, I couldn't stomach even buying cheese for everyone else let alone the thought of having to eat it but that's slowly getting better, I used to live off chicken it was a running joke in the family if i ever needed a blood transfusion it would have to be blood from a chicken cos that's all i ate, now though all i want is steak, salt and vinegar crisps and god help my partner if there is no vimto in the house!!!!

Ds2 is now 4mo and I still can't look at a banana. I used to keep my lunch in my desk drawer at work and I remember sitting there and being able to smell the banana through the drawer. The thought of it even now is making me retch. Yuck!

I've been the same, have completely gone off fish and I used to eat that virtually every day in some form before getting pg! Also can't face tea and I used to be on 6 or 7 cups a day. And my favourite drink was red wine, now even the smell makes me gag, that's probably just as well though. I actually feel a bit guilty about the fish as it would such a nice healthy dinner but I just can't face it.

I have gone off most things, but especially rice and curry. I lived on cereal and toast for many, many weeks. I can now face eating more things, but I'm not really enjoying food....still cannot stand pizza, chinese food....or coffee.

Gone from a 6-8 cups of coffee a day drinker to one cup if any - I think I want one but have a sip then boak!

Chocolate was my guilty pleasure - almost every day and I could count on one hand the number of times I've eaten it.

The thought of anything salad makes me want to throw up, same with fish, or anything too beefy.

I used to have salad every day :(

I've put on so much weight as a result.

In my first pregnancy I could not stand the smell of garlic or any kind of strong spice, this was how I found out I was pregnant standing in my friends kitchen whilst she cooked - she is a fab cook btw - I could not stand it and had to leave tested that night and bingo I got a BGP. This time I can't get enough spice in my food and add chilli sauce to everything! I went off veg initially up to about 15 weeks but now aqnd back to my five a day and more!

It's weird isn't it? I can't stand coffee, tea or chocolate now and the only things I seem to be able to eat are beige in colour. I normally eat loads of fruit and veg but can't face either apart from mashed potato.

Oh I can't wait to feast when I feel better!

Yep, my aversions were very dark chocolate (which ordinarily I'm addicted to), coffee, alcohol and - weirdly - fresh fruit, especially my ultimate fave, fresh figs (we were living in Spain at the time).

And no, the aversions didn't last. I got back into all of them sooner or later.

I've completely gone off bread. I think it's my body doing me a favour, as I've always been a carb-fiend, and it's my biggest downfall when it comes to weight gain.

Instead I'm practically on Aitkins, loving meat, just cooked plain, with a tiny bit of cous cous on the side. Mmmmm chicken. Grin

Jambalaya - my body is not doing me any favours!

It's settled down already (15 weeks) but has hung around longer in previous pregnancies.

When I'm pregnant I seem to revert to the eating habits of my super-finicky teenage self.

I go off the salads I normally love and just want nasty processed food (bright orange "chicken tikka" sandwiches from a garage, that kind of thing).

I normally eat much more healthily. It's weird.

I've gone off chocolate, coffee, all spicy food (even v slightly spicy) and most sweet things. All I can really drink is herbal tea or water. I'm not even particularly keen on normal tea at the moment. Sometimes greasy food is a stomach-turner too. It's really annoying and has happened to some degree in all my pregnancies. I think this is the most extreme though Sad.

I'm 11.5 weeks and hoping it passes soon.
