One swollen leg! Has this happened to anyone else?

Hi there, I am currently 35 weeks pregnant and my right leg and foot seem to be much more swollen than my left. It isn't painful and the d-diamer test a few weeks ago was negative. Has this happened to anyone else?

Thanks x

Is the skin marbled or hot to the touch?

Phone MW- it may be worth getting it checked out as could be a blood clot (or something else).

Am also 35 weeks and have hot/swollen/marbled muscle at top of my leg/bum (due to issue with my hip). I had a Doppler scan earlier this week as precaution to check ok. It could of course just be late pregnancy swelling but better safe than sorry.

Yes, get yourself checked out NOW! Pregnancy swelling should be in both legs.

don't want to scare you but if you haven't gone to hospital yet go now. It sounds exactly like my leg was when I had a dvt.
Hope all is well!

My cousin had swelling in one leg after the birth of her first baby. It was missed by several HC professionals and she ended up very ill as a result of DVT.

Please do not panic, (which is easier said than done reading the posts here) but don't delay in getting this checked out, and keep going back if you don't get the help you require first time round.

All the best and keep us posted!

I should say after a lengthy treatment of warfarin my cousin is now happy and healthy as is her DC so it's very treatable, but shouldn't be ignored ... Smile

Echo what breadstick says- they scanned me so I could get treatment if necessary . It is something that can do act on sorting out If necessary.

Also, and I assume you've been to the doctors by now, if you haven't yet, please consider that we have a) a weekend and b) christmas coming up and a lot of hospitals don't scan on weekends etc so you really want this sorted now..
