Pregnancy

Need a wee bit reassurance please

I should explain in advance that I am an awful worrier and my imagination does tend to run away with me. I'm sure this will inspire many a roll-of-the-eyes but as this is my first pregnancy I'm going to ask anyway.

Earlier this afternoon a standard sized poodle belonging to a very dear friend was being extremely excitable and sort of did a running jump and scratched my tummy. Still have a vicious red mark from my navel down. I'm a few days shy of 20 weeks and haven't had any bleeding or cramping but feel a bit different in that area (almost like something has been pulled) but not in any real pain. Could the doggy really have caused any damage and should I get it checked out or eat some more chocolate and forget about it?? Thanks in advance!

Personally I'd go for the chocolate and relaxing option.

If you're worried in the morning then call your MW, but you'll find babies are very well protected in there. Think of the pressure exerted on them in labour!

There's no way the dog would have done any harm. It is easy to get caught up in the constant worry tho (I'm just as bad) and it won't improve til the child is 30 or thereabouts :) Eat chocolate.

I second Flisspaps post, how are you feeling this morning?

Thank you everyone. Just needed someone to tell me that I was worrying over nothing that isn't a man! (house full of FIL, DBs etc at the moment). Feeling lots better this morning.
Huge box of chocolates has been suitably devoured!!

my niecehas sat her bum right on a bump a few times to 'keep the baby warm' and babys fine he justt kicks her bum in a rather pissed off way :) if her bum doesn't hurt baby don't think a dog would.

glad your feeling better
