Im 9 weeks on wednesday, midwife appt tomorrow, haven't had any pains at all until today, all day i have felt like im ovulating/having a period, really strong cramps, had to sit down a lot at work today.
I did have light sex early this morning, not sure if i have done some damage? :S
I haven't had any blood, none, but the cramping is awfully painful.
I feel a bit sick aswell, but haven't thrown up anything.
should i leave it until tomorrow, as i haven't bleed, or phone the hopspital now?

If you are worried phone hospital or out of hours GP. I had a lot of pain early in the pregnancy and have been fine so fingers crossed for you. That's not to say you shouldn't call someone if you feel worried or the pain is unusual for you, better to be reassured than left worrying.

It would be unusual for sex to cause a problem - I had cramping at about 10 weeks (and I've read other threads where other people have had similar). I think it's to do with the uterus having to start stretching to accommodate your baby and all it's belongings (there's a lot going on in there).

The sickness could well be morning sickness (oh joy!)

If you are ever concerned about something to do with your pregnancy though, call the midwife :)

Speak to your midwife. Failing that call your local labour ward. They will help you access the care you need. Hopefully a scan in the morning. I have just done this last night and this morning. They were lovely.

I had cramping too around 9 weeks, I had already been referred to the Early Pregnancy Unit so gave them a call and they got me to go in straight away for a scan. I am 13 weeks now and still haven't stopped worrying! Does your hospital have an EPU?
Get yourself checked out xxx

phunkiephedora Did no-one tell you, you'll never stop worrying now - ever! Wink

No EPU here, ive got 2 hot water bottles on either side, and the cramping has stopped, I'm not going to work tomorrow, i will just go to the Midwife appt and mention it unless it gets worse/have a bleed.

Im quite tired, so im going to bed soon, never had pain like that in early pregnancy before, so am a bit nervous about it.

I feel a bit embarresed, the morning before my appt, i tried to go to the toilet, and well, im extremely constipated.
I went to the GP as they had a cancelation before i saw the MW, he could feel my abdomen was quite firm and could feel that i was constipated, iv'e been eating kiwi fruit and diluted prune juice, have had 2 movements and the cramping has slowed down.
I haven't had any bleeding either, so im quite happy the baby is fine.
It was really painful though, never had that before. Blush

I had horrendous cramping between 4-9 weeks one doctor told me to go home and wait for a bleed as I'm more than likely having a miscarriage even though I hadn't bled - I'm now 21 weeks Grin always call if u need to - that's what they are there for, better safe than sorry hey!

Hope everything's ok xx
