Hi ladies, anyone care to share their experiences of the above or is anyone planning to give birth here? Any other mums to be from this area? Would love to hear from you!

I had both my DDs there. The first was a transfer in from a planned home birth, the second was a planned hospital birth in the mw led unit. Both times I was very happy with my care, the mws were helpful and friendly. But I was in and out very quickly with no complications, so didn't really put them to the test IYSWIM?

However I also have friends who have given birth there who weren't happy with their care. One found that there weren't enough mws available to help after her cs, and another friend felt that they were dismissive when she went in and thought she was making a fuss. When in actual fact her labour progressed very quickly but they didn't pick up on it until quite late on.

So I guess it depends how busy they are and who is around on the day. As I say, I was happy and would go back there again if I had another.

I just had my dd there 10 days ago and thought all in all the care I received was very good. I would definately have more children there. The only thing I wasn't happy with was after my c section they let me go home after 2 days which I think is too soon

Hi, I'm going to give birth at broomfield, chelmsford. Was thinking through different options but a few people I know have said they had bad experiences at Harlow - Broomfield is lovely, all shiny and new and everyone I've spoken to have been very happy there. Where do you live? What is your due date?

Thanks everyone for your feedback. I live in Harlow (Mark Hall North area), Zambooloo, and was due on 16 May. Had my 12 week scan yesterday and unfortunately turns out it was a chemical pregnancy. My only other pregnancy a year ago also ended in miscarriage and was confirmed at 12 week scan. Not sure whether I feel shockingly unlucky or whether it's indicative of a problem. So galling to think i've got to go through this again before they'll investigate. But, anyway, thanks again for your feedback. It'll be helpful to think about next time around. All the best to those of you expecting.
