Good signs or do I just need a slap?

Morning all,
I'm 35 weeks so a while left potentially.
Firstly, DS was induced so 'natural' labour a complete unknown so please excuse my ignorances. (I'm also desperate not to go over again as induction isn't an option really due to previous emcs)

So, over the last few weeks BHs have been increasing. Over the last week have been quite strong - they stop me in my tracks and I need to lean on what ever/ whoever I can get my hands on.
I've also had a horrible taste in my mouth for the last 4 days (no amout of teeth brushing/ eating something nice can take it away!)
Feeling sick after every meal/ snack even though baby seemed to drop down from my upper tummy about 2 weeks ago.
A bit of a 'clear out' also seems to be taking place.
Other than that, generally knackered - slept for hours yesterday, achy back no matter what i'm doing and urges to clean random things!
(Oh and my mother's gone to america for 3 weeks and has told me to not give birth under any circumstances [hgrin])
So please slap me now so I can get on with a life for the next 5 - 7 weeks!
Thanks
x

I have pretty much all the same symptoms without the tatse in th emouth and i'm also 35 weeks, so yes probably all normal. I wish i could just forget about it for another 4 weeks but there is no way my body will let me.

No slaps from me! I'm 37+4. Also experiencing some of the above!! However was having contractions (irregular and BH) about four weeks ago and nothing came of it. I would say we're prob both in pre labour. However that could last for 5 weeks like you say!! I found it's a bit like the "am I preg? " stage when you start putting all symptoms down to being preg. I felt really heavy yesterday and was convinced that I'd go into labour overnight. Still here with massive bump! The backache could just be increased bump size. The tiredness could just be massive bump too! I'm telling myself this as much as you. The clearing out is prob the huge ammount of food (inclding curry) I've eaten to push baby out! Fingers crossed it'll be timely for both of us. One thing I found that is help to keep me sane is reading the stuff that is happening babywise in the next few weeks. Things like maternal antibodies being passed to baby as approx 38 weeks! I decided antibodies would be handy so it'll be ok to get past that!!!

Thanks for reading. I'm just so keen for things to happen naturally this time that I'm probably obsessing over every possible sign.

I've have one spontanous labour and one induced and I can't remember how I felt before spontanous labour. I wish I did!!!

You obsess away! I'm still planning to!!!! Although my MIL suggested that at the signs of niggling discomfort I phone her so she can yet here. That could be a very long (and uncomfortable in other ways) visit. Lovley as she is, I really don't think I'll be emotionally balanced or mature enough not to tell her to stick her words of "wisdom". She has advised me this time not to go into hospital when in early labour like last time but to sleep. (Cept I was induced last time and HAD to stay in hospital so they could get the baby out within 24 hours of membrane rupture!!!)

See I'm CRANKY......another sign ticked off!! Wink

Oh god yes, I'd forgot about moody... must be getting close!
There's no way I could cope with in laws stopping at the moment. Getting dressed is a mammoth task so entertaining is out of the question.

hi, just want to add two extra 'symptoms' since yesterday am.
Period pains on and off all day followed by a painful bump (bit like wind but not and all over bump) all last night.
Poor dh is knackered, apparently i never stopped groaning, and moving last night.

Sounds normal I'm afraid. I'm 37 weeks now and having been having all the same symptoms as you since about 34 weeks. Meh. Hope things get going soon for you!
