Hi
I am 36 weeks pregnant. Today, my midwife told me that she is concerned about baby's position and referred me for 3rd scan to be sure. She also said my iron level is low, according to latest blood test and advised to go to GP for iron tablets.
Could anybody please advise/suggest what should I do? any exercises, can i use gym ball, if yes How,
Is there anything else which i can do, please advise. This is my second baby, first one was pretty straight forword though head was a bit big.
I am becoming concerned about c section.
Thanks in Advance

Did she say what she thought the position was? Breech or transverse may be a problem but it could be something as simple as back to back, which should be manageable in labour.

I do not know about any of these terms but she consulted with her colleague and then referred. I will ask in hospital at the time of scan now.

My bubs was transverse lie up til 37wk and he turned on own without me knowing/feeling, which I thought was possible as he must hav had limited room in there. Try not to worry I've plenty of time yet.

Homeopathy or acupuncture have been known to have success, but need a few days to work. For homeopathy, do make sure you speak to a professional.

Babies can fit in many ways - just because they aren't head down and anterior doesn't mean it will feel uncomfortable for you.

They can offer and tray an external manipulation to try and move the baby if the scan confirms it is transverse but there's no guarantee that baby will stay in whatever position it is moved into (or if they can move baby in the first place).

However babies do turn by themselves in many cases.

All you can do it wait and see watch happens but, and I say this as someone who did not want a c-section and refused induction but ended up with a section anyway because after my waters broke and labour failed to progress it became apparent that my posterior and unengaged baby was unable to turn or drop because of cord problems, sometimes a c-section may be the best option for both of you.
