8+4 weeks nausea easing, worry or party?

For over 3 weeks I have suffered horrendous nausea lasting all day every day. It has been so bad somedays I hardly manage out of bed at all and have been off work and prescribed antiemetics. I didn't think these were working and last took them around 3 days ago. I have had 2 early scans because I miscarried last year and we know there are two sacs with one of these being empty, the other we saw a heartbeat in on Monday, 4 days ago. For around 36hours the nausea feeling has felt so much better. I have managed to get up and about, hoover and take the dog for a walk! It's a total contrast to how I was feeling and I am in utter panic it means something is wrong as I wasn't expecting it to ease until at least the 12week point. I phoned my care provider and they said it could be the demise of the second sac and therefore my hormone levels may have fallen slightly but I am terrified there is more to it than this. I have another scan booked for Tuesday, 4 days from now, that feels like an eternity away. Has anyone sickness abated as early as this and all been good?

Hi Sharon, I have been feeling the same, am 8 weeks today and for the first time today I have felt not too bad ! I was a little worried and did find a website that said sometimes it eases at 8 weeks, (have tried to find it again to post a link but can't find it now!). I really hope your scan went well.

Pregnancy symptoms come and go. I didn't have sickness but really bad nausea. It went at ten weeks. Came back at 12 for a week or so

My sickness wasn't too bad, but I started getting days when I didn't notice it as much, then it switched off like a light at exactly 9 weeks. Had my 20 wk scan yest and all was well. Exactly the same happened in my first pregnancy, sickness just went at 9 weeks. He is now 4 years old Smile

Sympathies - Tuesday does seem a long way away but stay positive

I haven't had any ms - only symptoms were extreme tiredness & sore boobs and in the last 3 days these have disappeared completely and I feel totally normal again. Now my only sickness is feeling sick with worry! Have an early scan on Monday, which again feels like an eternity away and I've completely convinced myself I've had mc Sad I'm 8+6 today. Good luck for your scan and I'm fretting with you!

The nausea is very variable now. Right now I feel yuk, after dinner I am useless but overall it's better than it was. The thought of food still makes me gag. The presence of these symptoms is making me feel slightly less anxious although have been considering buying a doppler. I have my scan on MOnday so fingers crossed. I will be 10wks then and don't see midwife until 13 +1 weeks when she will then book me in for my dating scan. I thought this was pretty late?

Sometimes if you have quite a few early scans they put your dating scan back slightly. They've done that with me, and I've only had one early scan.

My ms comes and goes, I too am off work with it. Some days I feel relatively normal, others (like today) I just want to lie down.

You'll be fine, I'm sure [hsmile]
