Anyone had negative HPT but really were pregnant?

I am now 12 days late for my period and have a copper coil fitted. I have done 5 HPT - all negative and one family planning clinic test - the last one being done 2 days ago. My symptoms are dizziness, nausea, tiredness, emotional, frequent urination, thirsty. My doctor says that hpt in this day and age are very accurate and that I am not pregnant. She has tested my blood for anemia and diabetes (although not pregnancy?????) which came back negative. She says sometimes periods just are late and if I still haven't come on in a few moths to go back! I feel like crying, what is wrong with me and why is my period late if I'm not preganant? By the way my coil is still there.

Im unsure on the coil situation and how it would effect you if you are or why your period would be late, but my friend with her second pregnancy kept getting false pregancy tests over and over again, and the doctor said the same that she wasnt pregnant. She had been trying and not using conception tho. Eventually after long waiting and doctor talks they finally found out she was! It took a while tho! I hope you find out soon whats happening and try not worry .. even tho its hard! Hope your ok, if it was me i would probably get a second opinion as i find doctors usually dont give to hoots and try and fob you off with anything! =)! x good luck! x
