yippee after 20 months of trying and a 100mg of clomid finally the 2 pink lines have come up! Very excited!
Firstly I have and had for last week or so had mild cramps please tell me this is normal?
Secondly I have been offered a free yacht in the British Virgin Islands when I would be 20/21 weeks pregnant, I was going to book the flights today. Do u think it will be still ok to go? I will have to do nothing but relax. Worried if I don't book it and then I mc would be even more upset

Firstly big congrats!

Cramps are normal (your body is nest building - very twee but apt) and i went away at 20 weeks (day after the 20 week scan) and was told it was the safest time to fly!

Hope you have a wonderful and uneventful pregnancy Brew

Congratulations!
Cramps - perfectly normal. It's your uterus and ligaments stretching, or implantation pain. You'll get lots of that over the next few weeks, stuff that feels like period pain.
Book the flights.
:)

Also when do I tell the doctor. I am in no rush, hopefully if all goes well I am going to pay for a private scan with my gynae at 8 weeks so can see how things are going

Woo hoo!

I had lots of cramps to start with, from mild to downright painful and it was just lots and lots if stretching.

I also went away at 22 weeks and was fine. Though not to a yacht in the British virgin islands. Not that I'm jealous. Oh no :o)

Congratulations!

Congratulations!
And definitely book the flights - I went on holiday at 20 weeks, and it was the perfect time. The nausea and tiredness had passed, I felt great, and it was lovely to get some sun and relaxation.
The worst bit is that you might not have a proper bump at that stage, so you may just look a bit podgy in your bikini. And it's really difficult lying on your front to bronze your back, even with just a little bump, - a kiddies water ring would've come in handy for cushioning!!
Hope you have a great pregnancy. Good luck!

Florin, just ring your doctors surgery and tell them you're pg. They probably won't even want to see you; they'll just give you the number for the midwifery team and you'll start seeing them. Depending on where you are you'll book in with your mw sometime between 6 and 12 weeks depending on how busy they are (tip - no need to take your DH to this booking in appt - it's just a long, boring set of questions from the ms to you about your health, background, etc). Your mw will then book your scan at 12 wks and probably take bloods from you.

Congratulations Florin! I think you should be fine...take the dream holiday! It will be at just over half way point; when the two of you can take a deep breath, brace yourselves for family life and have a lovely memory/photos to look back on when you are knee deep in nappies and sleep deprived. It will bring you together and prepare you for the next phase! Smile x

Huge congrats (aren't you the manuka honey miracle as well?)

I think 20 weeks in a perfect time.

For what it is worth, DH and I went sailing in the BVIs 3 yrs ago, best holiday ever, it is breathtakingly beautiful, very friendly and chilled out.

Florin !!!!!!!!!!!!! What fantastic news for you! So pleased! (Hope you remember me from the frolickers thread!)

Firstly - well done and hope you have a healthy and very uneventful 40 weeks. And as the other ladies mentioned that is the perfect time to fly so happy booking! (Very jealous - sounds amazing!)

I also got my bfp on the 20th month so it must be lucky.

Come join us on the ante natal threads if you feel like it!

I am 24 weeks. Still can't quite believe it after so many months of trying... it is still very surreal!

I am on the first time frolickers thread... its really quiet on there - but suits me as I can keep up but still get lots of advice. Mostly the oldies on there which is nice. It's in the ante natal clubs section.
