Infant Observation: Expectant Mothers due in October/November 2011

I am starting a programme of studies at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust that requires that I observe a baby in his/her family environment for just one hour a week during the first two years of the baby?s life.

This would provide invaluable experience for me to learn more about child development, and to get acquainted first hand with the growth and changes that occur in a baby between birth and 2 years old.

The observation consists in weekly one hour visits in which I will be as neutral as possible observing the baby's actions, even when s/he is asleep. The mother/father/family won't have to do anything in particular, just continue with their routine.

This is a non judgemental approach that intends to help me a) understand human development and b) develop/improve my observational skills.

I am looking for a mother to be due in October/November 2011. If you are interested in participating, please contact me:

I do have a CRB.

I hope to hear from you soon.

Thank you for your time. Kind regards,

What area of the country are you looking for? I'm guessing you'd rather have a baby local to you rather than travelling hundreds of miles every week!

Thank you for your message.

I live in London, south east but i am willing to commute to other parts of London within a reasonable distance.
