I'm sure I'd put on about a stone by then- I put on three in total! I'd hoped to keep it down to two, but there was no way that was happening. But it only took 7 months to lose the lot.

I've only put on 4 pounds BUT this has been a result of being very careful as by this stage in both previous pregnancies I had put on well over 1.5 stone Blush. I just don't want to end up with 4+ stone to lose like both times before. I think a stone at 17 weeks is fine btw, it's within recommendations isn't it? I fully expect my weight gain to pick up from now on so I could end up the same size as before anyway Hmm

Feck me at least a stone, maybe more, but the worst was yet to come in water weight, I lost 3 stone in 5 days when I had the baby (pre-eclampsia)

Unless you are stuffing down absolute shite please be kind to yourself.

A lot of the time I was just eating 2% greek yogurt and museli, chicken soup, ryvita and cheese&onion cottage cheese (I know, gross, but it was like an addiction!) and strawberry yazoo.

Dairy fest or what? I hate cow juice! WTF.

Stupid babies Hmm

None. In fact I think I had lost weight as by 25 weeks I was only 1kg over my pre pg weight

I lost 2 stone due to morning sickness, but once all that stop I made up for it lol

I hadn't put on any weight by 17 weeks - I lost a stone in the first 12 weeks with both my pgs and it took me till six/seven months to put it back on. But I was 'lucky' in that being pregnant really wrecked my normally enormous appetite.

None, I had lost three stone at 18 weeks, at full term pregnant I weighed 1 stone 10lb less than before I was pregnant!!

has more than made up for it now mind*

yes, normal. lost half stone by this point in first pregnancy. gained one stone by this point in second pregnancy.

you are likely retaining water too, i would not be overly worried. just eat like you normally would, definitely do not diet.

I'd lost at least a stone but I had hyperemesis very badly.

It all went on post birth/breast feeding snacking. Back to pre pregnancy weight now.

too much to mention! In total i put on 6 st Shock. so i guess by week 17 somewhere in the region of 3 st Shock Shock. Pregnancy did funny things to me, i was showing at 7 weeks triple Shock. I could never have waited until 12 weeks to announce as everybody knew by then by my huge bump.

had lost weight with number one, as I felt so sick until about 16 weeks. number 2, put more weight on because I ate rather a lot of cornflakes/ricecrispies/ginger biscuits in an attempt to stave off the nausea.

Thanks all! I was still carrying 10 lbs extra from before I was pg with DD so started at a disadvantage. Im jus paranoid cos I'm bigger than I was with 1 st pregnancy.
at Tattydevine thank you for a very cheering post! Thanks
I am not being very careful and am definitely eating more than I would if I wasn't pregnant. But what else have I got other than food?! Grin

I think about 1/2 stone - I put on quite a lot between weeks 8-12 due to nausea, but it seems to have slowed down now, and it's just bump expansion but I'm back to eating normally rather than every hour to stop feeling sick (am 18+4).

worldgonemad72 · 09/10/2011 21:45

ive lost about 8lbs, im now 19 weeks, but ive had really bad sickness and only just starting to get my appetite back.
As long as you eat healthily a steady weight gain is normal.

Will all these sicky weight losers go away! It's not fair and it's making me feel crap. I'm 23wks and I was quite pleased when I weighed myself today and I've only put on a stone since before I was pregnant. Now I feel rubbish. I'm trying really hard to be careful, but it just keeps coming on.
