i have been feeling a bit rubbish for a week or so now funny turns, but i am epileptic and have up until now written them off as something to do with that as
they are similar to pre fit sensations. but i just nearly fainted in my front room am am 20 weeks and just had scan today and baby is just fine.
any ideas had 3 babies before but never had this?

I went through a period of feeling dizzy and faint around the same time, especially when I moved from a position or up from the bed. Funnily enough it coincided with my BP coming down from 138/80 to 120/70. Not sure if it bears any relation but it could be that your BP has dropped. It is quite common in pregnancy though.

I went through the dizzy light headed stage from 12 - 20 weeks and this is no. 4 for me too. Never had it before in any pregnancy. Turned out it was low blood pressure and doctor told me to wear support socks/tights (from the chemist) for a bit till it passed. Like a lot of pregnancy symptoms it went. My GP explained it as everything stretches in pregnancy even your veins as you are carrying more blood and the blood was taking too long to return from my feet to my heart hence wearing support socks/tights to give the veins a bit more support. It is a horrible feeling though especially when alone with the kids in the house.

Yes I've had quite a few lightheaded moments between 12-20 weeks, but infrequent and thankfully none led to anything. I just tried to take it easier for a bit, and take a break when it happened. Do mention it to your midwife though
