I've got so many signs of pregnancy but I'm so scared. I'm going to take a test soon but what should I expect if I am?

darksideofthemooncup Fri 30-Sep-11 01:48:09

Why are you scared Paine?

Paine175 Fri 30-Sep-11 01:51:07

Because if I am, it's my first and cause I'm young, my partner isn't mature enough and I've not got a job :/

darksideofthemooncup Fri 30-Sep-11 01:52:36

Oh sweetie sad. Right, firstly don't panic. Have you actually done a test yet?

Paine175 Fri 30-Sep-11 01:55:06

Not yet, i'm going to buy one asap. I've just got a gut feeling, so nauseated, cramping and spotting. Don't get me wrong, it would be amazing just scary stuff lol

Paine175 Fri 30-Sep-11 01:57:26

Oh and I've went from a 40d to a 38dd in like a week

darksideofthemooncup Fri 30-Sep-11 02:01:03

Of course it's scary! Blimey I was 38 when I found out I was pregnant with my dd and I was terrified. Having said that she is the best thing that ever happened to me. I'm not sure I would have coped when I was younger though.

Pregnancy in itself isn't necessarily hard by the way, thats the easy bit! grin

Paine175 Fri 30-Sep-11 02:03:34

I really do want one, I know it would complete my life, eventhough I'm young. I'm just dead scared and don't know how to tell my parents/partner/friends.

darksideofthemooncup Fri 30-Sep-11 02:04:25

How old are you?

Paine175 Fri 30-Sep-11 02:05:03

darksideofthemooncup Fri 30-Sep-11 02:06:30

Wow - that is young. What about the father? is he likely to want to support you?

darksideofthemooncup Fri 30-Sep-11 02:08:36

Can you talk to your Mum? or do you have an older sibling that you could talk to?

Paine175 Fri 30-Sep-11 02:08:43

He's 20, i mean yeah he probably would support me, he's just so darn childish and I have no idea how he'd cope.

Paine175 Fri 30-Sep-11 02:11:34

I can talk to my mum, my siblings wouldn't understand. I just don't wanna say 'yea mum by the way I think i'm pregnant' sad

darksideofthemooncup Fri 30-Sep-11 02:13:48

Try and talk to your Mum, yes she will probably hit the roof initially but you need to get some help sweetie. you are far too young to deal with this on your own

OhMyGolly Fri 30-Sep-11 02:15:45

Oh bless you, I was 20 when I was unexpectedly pregnant. I bought a test in my

darksideofthemooncup Fri 30-Sep-11 02:17:09

I have been in your situation, many moons ago. I didn't go through with the pregnancy and I didn't feel that I could speak to my mum about it. I was wrong sad

FreddieMercurysBolero Fri 30-Sep-11 02:19:45

I hope you are okay, I have been there, it is scary, yes but if you bite the bullet and test you will at least be able to figure out wher to go from here.

Paine175 Fri 30-Sep-11 02:19:51

I can talk to my mum about most things, i'm 17 next month so i'll nearly be 18 when I have the baby if i am, and she was 18 when she had her first child x

darksideofthemooncup Fri 30-Sep-11 02:25:28

I think you know what you have to do. Get a test tomorrow and if you are talk to your Mum. Let us know how you get on, there is a wealth of support on here. Good luck lovely, I really hope it all works out for you xx

Paine175 Fri 30-Sep-11 02:26:35

I know, I will, thanks for the help and advice. thank you so much xxx

FreddieMercurysBolero Fri 30-Sep-11 02:34:48

i was 17 when i got pregnant with my dd it was a terrifying experience, telling my mum was interesting. you will be fine if you are, first thing is to go get a test and see were you stand. talk to your mum though, be prepared for some tough love from people. they only want they best for you, doesnt mean they necessarily know what that is though. xxx

SuchFunSuchFun Fri 30-Sep-11 15:29:40

I would do the test before you speak to your Mum though just to make sure.

Good luck with everything. x
