Prom and dilation at 18

i have spent the week in hospital as I started to dialate, had a cervical stitch inserted but waters pushed through so stitch had to be taken out. Waters have since broken but dilation has stopped and I'm now at home.

Has anyone else had this? We've been told the outcome for the baby is not good. I'm now 19+3

Thankyou, can't find anyone who has been in the position of having an incompetent cervix and prom. Things are the same here. Have an appointment with my consultant who has been fantastic and a detailed scan booked for Monday so just taking it a day at a time

I have a friend who had a prom at 16 weeks, then again at 18 weeks, the fluid replaced itself and she now has a beauitful 7 month old, she spent a lot of time in hospital and baby was a bit poorly at birth, but she went to 34 weeks !! infection was the biggest worry xxx
