Am I being silly?

Hi ladies

Had quite a spectacular fall on my way in to work this morning bug managed to break my fall mostly by landing on my hip. Am at home and taking it easy and baby has been wiggling and juggling around as I rest - I'm 25+4.

People are telling me that I should go straight to the hospital for monitoring but I'm inclined to stay put unless I get bleeding/pain/reduced movements.

I'm doubting myself now tho - should I go and get checked? I have a midwife appointment tomorrow anyway.

Thanks, Ria x

You poor thing - how awful and frightening.

Personally, if I had an appointment tomorrow and I could feel movement I would rest and wait tomorrow (only because I hate having to wait in hospitals). However, I would still phone the MW just to let her know and see what they say.

Again, as you say, if anything changes, then defo go in.

Take care

Poor you - not a nice way to start the day.

I would give the hospital a call and see what the advice is. I'm sure everything's fine (apart from your pride) but it's worth asking the question I think. You won't be wasting anyone's time.

Take care

I wouldn't bother if you have an appointment tomorrow and baby is moving nicely, but I noticed any change I'd be straight on the phone to MW. However, I do tend to be a bit lackadaisical in my approach to risk.

Ah no hope your ok and not too sore.
I had a fall in last pregnancy around similar time to you. I rang midwife and as bubs was wriggling away she assured me everything would be fine. And he was!
For peace of mind mayb ring them. If anything changes or you feel unwell ring someone straight away, otherwise i'd just go tomorrow as planned and mention it.

I too would just keep tabs on things and go if you become concerned. I'd also go if your partner is really worried... just to put his mind at ease.

If it helps, my mum says she fell off a swing quite dramatically when she was pregnant with my sister! My sister is entirely normal... well, a little loopy but I don't think you can put that down to mum's fall.
