First stretch mark- oh woe!

32 weeks and I have my first stretch mark and my skin is feeling tight. Has he grown over-night? I feel sure I didn't feel like this yesterday. Has anyone got any nifty anti-stretch mark advice I can follow last-minute?

I've been bio-oiling away ever since I first knew I was pregnant, it'll be irritating if it makes no difference. I've been through 4 big bottles of the stuff! ..Gosh I feel vain!

It's genetic. The skin tears at a depth no lotion or potion will reach. Nothing will prevent them I'm afraid. Though you can reduce the itch with lots of cream.

You could be me, Whizzy. I am almost 30 weeks and thought I was doing so well. Now I have one on my stomach that also appeared overnight. Have also been oiling like mad since the start. Am now so worried as to what will happen over the coming weeks....

All of mine have started appearing at the bottom of my bump since my baby started engaging his head. Oh well - I was doing so well, too!

I remember finding my first one at 29 weeks and saying to my Mum, 'you don't think I'll get any more do you?' she say 'nooooooooo I'm sure that'll be it'

9 weeks later and I looked like a tigerGrin

(sorry)

I don't think there is anything you can do. I did religious Bio-oil & cocoa butter in my first pregnancy & didn't get any stretchmarks. Have been doing the same this time, & the first ones appeared around 34 weeks...

Maybe I'm just luck but have used clarins tonfying (is that a word??) oil in both and don't have a single mark. I wasn't shy of the odd cake either! Just keep oiling!
