Hiya girls!

I'm 8 weeks 3 days pregnant with my first ;)

I had a phonecall from my midwife this morning, apparently i missed my booking in appointment but i never recieved my letter, i've been rescheduled for 30th Sept and i was just wondering what the appointment involves, do they just take bloods and weigh you? x

Forms. Loads and loads of forms to fill out. About your medical history, your family's and your partner. Calculation of pre-pregnancy BMI, blood pressure, bloods and answering of any questions you have. Advice about eating etc..
It might be different in each area though.

My midwife said congrats to me at my first appt when i was just over 5 weeks gone, she was shocked that i hadn't seen my gp before her though but i said i rang the receptionist to say i'd self tested and they booked me straight in with her!!

I'm just worried about this missing letter, she's sent me a new one today with my 20th Sept appt so i can intercept that tomorrow, i still live with my mum and dad who dont know i'm expecting yet and my dad sometimes opens my post by mistake, i just pray the missing letter never turns up before i've broken the news x

I wouldnt worry about the letter too much. My letter came while I was at my booking appointment(luckily they phoned to confirm). :)
