question re sensitivity of early pg test

background info :
i've been having sharp twinges for days and had slight bleeding yesterday which has stopped. am due on in 3 days. to bleed 4 days early is unheard of for me. am regular as clockwork.

i tested on saturday (too early) Blush with first response, then today with a chemist's own brand early test, but didnt use the frist urine of the day, as it said i should Blush

now, i know i'm being a foolish over this testing business, but would there be any point in going and buying a first response test today?(as i feel the the one i just did 'doesnt count' as i didnt use first urine). am i right in thinking that you dont have to use first urine of the day with first response?

I didnt get a positive until a week after I was due, something to do with me having a late implantation, something like that lol so dont be too put off if you still get a negative (I tested with clear blue)

thanks themighty. i am finding myself feeling quite anxious, tbh, cause if i'm not pregnant, then i've certainly got some sudden odd gynae symptoms that i need to get looked at.

i am so annoyed with myself for being over zealous with the testing, but cant seem to resist.

If you only had implantation bleeding yesterday then I'd imagine there isn't a hope in hell of getting a positive yet.

I'd order a pack of the cheap sensitive ebay tests, they sell them in packs of 10. They'll arrive in a day or two and knowing they're on their way will help you be patient.

The most likely reason to bleed slightly before or around the time you were due on is implantation, I only had it with one of my three and it was a tiny amount of blood but same as you I had a bit of twinging for a day or so before. As I hadn't had a period yet since having dd I assumed it was returning but when the period never got going and I started getting preg symptoms.....

Good luck Smile
