Im 32 weeks and am trying to buy all my bits for my hospital bag, i dont havent worn a nightdress in years and think i have a fear of them! Very daft i know, i have looked at so many. Pjammas too and i cant make a decision on anything! I was going to buy one night dress and one set of pjammas, im hoping for a water birth so what do i wear for that too? Can anyone recomemend where will be good to buy them without spending loads. Also how big do i get them as i guess after the birth i maybe a tiny bit smaller, or am i being deluded? Help..... Blush

Hi, am also wanting water birth so bought bikini top as would like some dignity but also cause you may need to get out to use the loo so can wrap towel round waist. Have got a nightie that was given to be and allows for BF and bought a couple of pairs of nicer PJ's with mix and match tops, BF vest tops as is hot in hospitle and button up with sleeves for at home. Got them from supermarket and a size bigger than pre preg size.

Don't know about water birth - I planned on having one of those, but didn't even think about packing anything, so I guess I'd have gone in the nude.

Post natally, you'll need something comfy and cool. Pack a couple of pairs of PJs because you may bleed through the bottoms. I'd go for 2 nightshirts/big t-shirts and 3 or 4 pairs of light cotton pj bottoms. Remember that 1. post-natal wards are boiling hot, and 2. you'll still be big and your tummy might be sore so big sizes are good. Cheapo from Asda or Primark is the way to go.

I bought big primark nighties and pyjamas, couldn't wear the pyjamas as had a catheter. Buy big cheap knickers you can just throw away.
