Help me please, mumsnetters. I have my 12 week scan this afternoon, and I want to know if you have had any joy with the nub theory. It's a bit of a surprise pregnancy (LO is only 5mo) and I'm so desperate to get aninkling whether it's pink or blue!!!

hi diva,
Not sure if you have looked but if you google it there is a website dedicated to the nub theory where there are also lots of images to quiz you!

I Just googled nub theory in google images, and compared my scan to them. it said girl as did the 20 week scan and the 4d one, find out for sure in 2 weeks.

when i looked on images on google i can work it out, but it all depends on the quality of pic you get for your scan. Although ours is really clear we can't see no nub at all! lol did have my scan at 11+3 though

Well, as my unconvinced partner pointed out to me, I had a 50/50 chance of getting it right.

I guessed boy, and I'm having a boy.

Posted my 12 week pic on the in-gender forum, everyone guessed girl. The 20 week scan said boy.

well i got the scan... and no nub visible. Found out I was 13 weeks rather than 12 though, so I guess that's a bonus. Anything that makes my pregnancy a little shorter, hell, it's only 6 months since I had the last one!
