magic potion for old hag?

I'm 22wks pg with my first, not sleeping well, and already waving goodbye to my youthful complexion. In other words, starting to look somewhat rough and haggard due to lack of sleep. I normally just wear tinted moisturiser in the summer. Alas this no longer even touches the sides.

Realistically, this will hardly improve when the baby arrives. Please tell me there is some kind of face cream / make up / anything that will make me look radiant again, or at least, not bleary-eyed and blotchy. Help!

Have every sympathy with you notletting, especially as I got acne whilst pregnant so looked haggard and had a teenage outbreak.

I used Max Factor foundation. Was the only thing that would cover it all up and wasn't too heavy.

Aha. What you need is a face illuminator - deflects light in all directions to give one a youthful glow Grin
Will look up the brand I use - I mix with foundation and presto!

Seconded on the Max Factor and the lightest of light touches of bronzer or blusher on the apples of your cheeks/chin/blade of your nose will give you a subtle glow. Works for me anyway.

Thankfully I found my skin has improved near the end, from around 30 weeks (38 weeks now). Lots of water helps too and a little dab of concealer for the dark circles.

Make an appointment with one of the stands at your local dept store. Clarins, Bobby Brown, Lancome all have products which can help make you look better. Book in for a make over and you'll feel a lot better.

If it's any consolation, your complexion will be the last thing on your mind when your baby arrives.

I looked like utter shit till about 30 weeks then just as I gave up hope I've started to look a bit better. The natural endorphins will help soon too. I never in 3 pgs have had that 'blooming' phase.

Here we go - Clarins Beauty Flash Balm. Expensive but you use a tiny amount and it lasts forever.
