Well done Valiant on starting the new thread :0)
Hope u are all well today. My friend had her twins last night- boy and girl , one was born before midnight other after so they have different birthdays lol.

It's not even 7 o clock yet and I'm bored already! Dont have my car as DHs has broken down so he has it for work and it is meaning I am house bound alllll day. Only excitement I have is a dog walk and waiting for my posh delivery of meat from Donald Russell ...

I have no idea how I'm going to keep sane when this baby is here as these 4 Walls drive me nuts!

oo anyone else due on Sept 11th and sick of people trying to place the date then realising its 9/11 and pulling that face?

Report
MumToSophie · 23/08/2011 14:53

GeneralDisarray that's my due date too and I've had a couple of comments, I don't really take much notice though it's not as if I can help when she's born! DD1 will be 2 on the 12th so mostly I get people saying "oh no they'll have the same birthday" so we'll see :)

How is everyone feeling? I'm starting to struggle now, I just feel so uncomfortable when I'm walking. I wanted to get some last minute things in town yesterday but after a couple of shops (and THREE stops for a wee) I had to come home without everything I needed. I'm hoping that's not just me haha

I'm looking for a bit if advice. Since around 6pm I've had painful tightenings across bump. I never had BH with ds so don't know what they feel like. In fact labour was pretty easy with ds, leaky no gushing since 3am then a show after lunch, 3hr labour but a retained placenta.
So, I timed these tightenings & they've been 15mins apart. Not gotten any closer together, no leaking or discharge, no show. Movements have been a lot less today but when I get the tightenings it feels like she's pushing outwards. My butt also feels like I should be sat on the toilet all night(tmi). Are these BH? I've got a gtt tomorrow morning at hospital so if they're still happening I'll ask at DAU but was hoping somebody could tell me how their BH feel when they happen. They don't feel like full on CX. TIA for any advice.

Hi All.

Sounds like bh - but I've only had them this pg, didn't with dd1. If you want to sit on the toilet, it could be baby is moving into position, but I think I would get it checked if it's still happening this morning. Apparently I have an irritable uterus - well not surprising with two babies kicking it! I was in hospital at 33w with it and they gave me drugs to stop it. I wasn't dilating but it could have made me dilate. Hope you're feeling better this morning.

I've reached the stage where I can't drive. My bump meets my steering wheel of my people carrier - I didn't think I'd get that big! I'm all bump, and boy is it a giant one Grin 8 days to go and counting (not counting today)

Hope all are well xx

Thanks for the reassurance. I think they were BH's although they hurt! I have high pain threshold and these BH's kept taking my breath away each time. I fell asleep at some time after 11pm and woke up again at 2:30. When will I get my full sleep back? :( Felt really hungry and was getting BH's agains so forced myself to lie in bed and eventually fell asleep. I didn't bother asking about the pains at DAU as they had subsided by this morning and just trundled through my GTT and now am a happy owner of several bruises. I really hope these September babies start to pop soon. Mine is giving me really hard solid kicks and punches. Not sure I can put up with it much longer. I am literally waddling around shops at the moment and my hormones are raging at any shop assistant who don't listen to what I ask them and reply with nonsense.
I hope you can still walk around the shops even though you're unable to drive PrincessScrumpy. X

Hello ladies, had a nice holiday in Devon but found eating really hard - lots of sickness especially during the night which was a bummer so lacking sleep severely. Sounds like everyone is getting to that grumpy point and had enough. Princess, I admire you for coping with a dc and huge bump - sounds like girls are healthy though, it will feel so strange to loose that much weight when you have them - so close now. Valiant it sounds like you could be any day now as your signs seem to be getting more definate. Am glad to be home to put feet up as toes and ankles are really swollen (all that walking round monkey world and tank museum). Had to put up with lots of 'fat jokes' from family and am looking forward to getting some hips back. Can't believe it is only around a month left for me although mw thinks he will be early. x

Haha, I can barely walk - as of Tuesday it feels like my pelvic bone might snap. Mum picked up dd1 today to give me a couple of days rest and we'll collect her on Saturday, then mum's having her from next Wednesday so I can go to hospital appointments and then she'll bring them to meet her sisters on Saturday 3 Sept.

I told dh last night that I should paint my feet and ankles green and be Princess Fiona from Shrek due to the swelling! I still barely look pregnant from behind but have a huge beachball size tummy (bit heavier than a beachball though Grin)

I'm not leaving the house today or tomorrow. On Monday I've been invited to a friend's house so will try to drive there as it's only local. My main problem is my hands are swollen so grip isn't great. I've lost my apetite and don't fancy anything but have to force myself to eat as I'm hungry - very frustrating.

4oz a week is good. mine was doing less than that but they were still pleased tbh.

Baby is still free and in same position he's been in for a while. Just trying to keep him in till he's larger in September now, although I am 37 weeks today.

I havent had a scan since 34 weeks but he was on the 20th percentile at 36 weeks and was 4lb 8oz. Between 33/6 and 32 he gained approx. 400g. I have to admit I always thought he would take after his daddy who was born at 32 weeks at 4lb 8 and his cousin who was born at 37weeks at 8lb 4 but he is more likely to be like me as I was born at 5lb 13oz (I think this is correct, although it could have been slightly less) and stayed healthy and small. I also think that he has a very strong heart beat and is a natural fidget has reeassured me and the fact that genetically all the babies born on my mothers side, not sure of my fathers side, were small.

Ladies, congrats on all your pregnancies and sorry to gatecrash. I'm also due in sept and am curr3ently 37 weeks. Was interested to read that Lola and valiant are also measuring small at scans. My baby measured 4lb 14oz at 35+6 and have been put onto regular monitoring now. Registrar said it was iugr but consultant now says baby is probably just constitutionally small. Am quite worried tbh. When was your baby 4lb 8oz Lola? 34 or 36 weeks? And what does yours weigh valiant? Mine weighed 3lb 8oz at 32 weeks so put on 5-6 oz a week up until now I guess.

Hi everyone, how do u find out how much the baby weighs? I am 35 wks tomoz and have no idea what weight he/she is!
I have my 36 wk research scan a week on Monday but that won't show me much as it's for research purposes only. Am intrigued to find out roughly what it might weigh!

lolajane2009 · 27/08/2011 18:33

34 weeks was 4lb 8. I got an approx. weight from a growth scan after my bump didnt grow between 28 and 32 weeks.

Report
Lollyheart · 27/08/2011 18:44

I had a growth scan when I was 35 weeks and baby was measuring 5 and a half pound, that's big for me as all of my babies have been 6lb something, my biggest being 6lb 7 0z and that was my first. I do feel bigger this time but of course it's just an guess, they are not always right.

I've been feeling really strange today, I feel like this baby will come any day now, I woke up wet this morning but nothing since, I think I'm just paranoid as I'm going on holiday on Monday and want the baby to stay in until we get back.
