Problem is I'm sooo hungry all the time!!! Is that normal? If I don't eat something every few hours I get hunger pains. I wee more than normal, (normal for me is every 20 mins or so). I'm awake too early, 5am this morning. My legs are restless. My lower belly aches. Diahorrea (sorry tmi!)

I have an app with the doc later today, soo many questions.

Sorry, just needed to share.

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Yes, everything you have described is really common so no need to worry!

Yep that all sounds about right for early on! No one ever warns you about the diahorrea, next for me came the constipation !

Hello,

I also just found out that I am pregnant (5 weeks) and I am eating like a horse! I have also had problems sleeping. I am feeling sick most of the time - I am told this will not last forever but it feels like it will never end!

Very excited though xx

Thanx ladies.

Checked in with the doc, worked out that I'm more likely to be between 5 and 6 weeks. Midwife app Wed.

TinyRuth; know the feeling! Not feeling icky though as yet. Oh and bursting with energy at the mo even with very little sleep.

I just found out last week and going to doctor tomorrow. Was just wondering, when are you ladies planning to start telling people (well, your parents)? DH has invited his parents round for dinner this weekend with the intention of telling them. He says he trusts them to keep it secret, but I'm not sure they'll be able to keep it quiet. I think I'm about 5 weeks and I just think it's a bit early. What do you think? I suppose if i had a miscarriage or somehting terrible then I'd tell them anyway, so I suppose their knowing doesn't matter. I think it's just that I only found out myself less than a week ago and not really having any symptoms, so it kind of hasn't sunk in. I just feel I need more time to get my head round it before other people get involved. Is that really selfish? Any thoughts?
By the way, I'm starving too. ALL THE TIME. I'm gonna end up huuuge xx

Oh, and I'm getting the weird crampy period pain feeling. Trying not to panic though. I just assumed with all the shenanigans going on in there you're bound to feel something. And boobs hurt like crazy. Do you guys have your due dates yet? From my calculations (and keeping fingers tightly crossed that nothing goes wrong) I think mine is about 12th April... Eeek!

KnittingKnots I know exactly how you feel - I am on a weeks holiday at the moment with my Mother-in-law who we have told because she would have guessed the second I didn't reach for the wine in the evenings! She has been lovely and I am sure she won't tell anyone and as you say - even if something goes wrong we would want to talk to her about it.
I am planning to tell my parents next week (I talk to my mum about everything) and then not tell anyone else until the 12 week scan.
I have used a book to work out my due date which I think it 10th April! Am not going to the Doc until Monday when I am home so I might have this totally wrong!!

Crazy but exciting times xx

I told people straight away which many on here disapprove of but I thought it was great! My mums face was brilliant! I'd do it again tomorrow. Waiting til twelve weeks is too hard and ppl suspect anyway

Congratulations to the new BFPs :)

I'm planning to tell family/best friends somewhere around the 8-9 week mark. Got a family BBQ before that though when they may guess as I won't be drinking. Hoping to use the "I'm driving" excuse as DH away.

Hi

My gym instructors already know. Will tell the family beg of Sept. It's nice to keep it to ourselves for a while.

On a side note, I'm between 5 and 6 weeks pregnant, but I'm already feeling my belly wobble a little during aerobics. I already seem to have a tiny bump. Surely I would't be showing yet? Would like to add though, I'm very small; 5ft1 & 45kg (I fit into 11 year olds clothing!)

Going off what the doc said, I'm due beg of April.

I told my mom straight away as i was so excited. With regards to work i have told a few people as it can be helpful to have people know. My job is quite heavy as im a trauma nurse and so telling people is helpful so they can cut you a bit of slack and support you with your workload.

I have just found out I'm pregnant and haven't even had it confirmed by a doctor yet but by my calculations I think I'm due mid- late April. I've begged the boyf not to tell anyone yet because I am superstitious about the whole first trimester only to find out that he's been keeping people a work up to date with the unreliability of my periods since May! I think we'll end up telling his Mum and Dad really soon- not least because they're going to question whilst I have suddenly stopped smoking when we weren't planning on getting pregnant until the end of the year. I think for the people involved with both of you you need to come to an agreement but I also think men can feel quite pushed out of the experience and they need people to talk to so a compromise may be in order :)

Oh last msg was more aimed at KnittingKnots btw. Going back to the hunger thing I'm proper ravenous- two weeks ago I ended up having a cooked breakfast then 2 hours later a roast dinner!! I put it down to a hangover but i think now it may have had more to do with the early stages of pregnancy! I am so ridiculously tired all the time too but am finding it hard to sleep :( I think I'm due around 14th April- hopefully the doctor can give me more idea tomorrow.

Hi, thought I'd update you all and ask a question.

Had a scan 2 weeks ago, my dates were a week out, so was 10 weeks at the scan. I'm now 12 weeks with another scan on Tue.
Bump is growing like crazy, have ended up with maternity jeans already.

Quick question though, when I lay down, I do find it hard to breathe, weather it be on my left or right side or on my back, thought it was too early for bump to be pushing everthing up? Any ideas?

And for those who worry about lack of symptoms; the only thing I have now is ocassional nausea and very sore boobs. Apart from jet lag, I have actually felt great for the past 4 weeks.

I got my BFP on Wednesday and I have felt queasy and tired ever since. My boobs have also grown by a cup size already. DH seems to love this but due to the fact they are EXTREMELY tender and my hormones are making me nasty he knows better than to go near them.

I've been getting quite strong period type cramps which the Doctor assures me are normal, can't help but worry though.

I'm mega confused about how pregnant I am though. It's been 7 weeks since the first day of my last period, but I have PCOS and irregular cycles. The Doctor told me I'm about 6 weeks. How do they measure the weeks though? If I go for a dating scan in a few weeks will they change it and tell me I'm less than I thought? Because do they take it from the point of conception then or not? I just can't work it out in my head haha!!

Congratulations to everyone!!! xx
