So have known for just over 24 hours. Told DH straight away. Managed not to tell anyone for another 8 hours. Then told my sister. Feeling kind of guilty about not sharing with parents. Mum is desperate to be a Gran. Have also made doctor appointment that's tomorrow. What happens nxt?

Congratulations!! How exciting for you!!! Do you know how far along you are? I went to see my GP who basically just weighed me, said congrats, and told me to call the midwife to take it from there!! You will prob have your booking appointment at about 8-9 weeks, and book your first scan for around 12-14 weeks then; you won't see your midwife again until about 16wks (I've just had my appt today!!) and then next scan at 20wks, so you don't see much of them until later on.
You should be able to work out your EDD & how far you are into your pregnancy using a calculator (I found one one babycentre.co.uk) - basically they date your pg from the first day of your last period.

Thanx. The calculator thinks I'm in week 5 so due in early April. Starting body balance tonight, which is a mixture of tai chi yoga and pillaties. :)

Congrats. Yerr see your doctor (which for me was a quick 5 mins of do you smoke do you drink? They did the referral for the midwife. Had to wait 5 weeks for an appointment then that's it. It's scary cos there's so little contact and you feel like there's no one you can talk to. That's if your keeping it quiet, so it's great there's this forum!
