how much sickness is normal?

So i'm 6+4 and for the last 4 days have been pretty sick. I feel sick nearly all day and am normally sick in the morning, afternoon and just before I go to bed so about 3 times a day. Really dont feel like eating so basically dry heaving in the morning and afternoon and whatever i've managed to nibble and sip throughout the day comes up when i'm sick just before bed. Sleep fine and feel better for half an hour once i've been sick. Is this a normal amount of sickness. Feel pretty rough.

Normal is as normal does. Some people don't get sick at all. Some people throw up all day long for the whole nine months.

You poor thing. Sounds absolutely rotten for you.

Are you keeping hydrated?

I find that sipping drinks through the day and nibbling things here and there I can cope with being sick 4 or 5 times a day. I did reach a point where I was throwing up 10+ times a day and not managing to keep water down, at which point I was getting very dehydrated and was given some anti vomiting tablets.

If you're managing, then it's 'normal'. If you are dehydrated and not coping then it's not normal.

If you're being sick so much that you're not keeping much water down then you should speak to your gp.

I had all day sickness and was on ice cubes, NHS direct told me off as it turns out you can't live off then for very long Blush.

GP's can prescribe medicine for really bad sickness, I had Avomine. The only drawback is it also makes you sleepy so no driving or work while its in your system. But at meant I could keep food and water down.

Hope you feel better soon.

I dont actually mind being sick a few times a day as I feel better afterwards for a good 40 min. So far haven't been sick more then 4 times in a day so must be keeping some water and food bits down. I'm never sick straight after sipping water always a few hours later so must be getting some water down!
