Bleeding & Cramps at 5 weeks can someone help?

Hi

Im new here but I just feel so lost.

I am now 5 and a half weeks pregnant but began to bleed last night following an hour of cramping. The blood is fresh but mostly when I wipe and when I go the loo. Only small amounts in the pads Ive had on

I attended the out of hours GP last night, however the dr said there is nothing that can be done until 7 weeks. I don't know how he thinks I can sit round for another week and a half. I'm in bits and have convinced myself that I have lost the baby. I feel so let down by this GP after making me wait for 2 and a half hours before I was seen.

My cramping is uncomfortable and only to the lower right side of my groin area and lower right back. I have passed a very skinny inch long clot early hours and vomited water at 2am. I have felt sick all day but Ive hardly slept.

I have just tried to rest all day but it's constantly on my mind and I just keep breaking down into tears

Does anyone have any words of advice or experience?

I'm really sorry you are going through this, I would recommend going to your normal GP tomorrow and asking for a hcg blood test, this will be done at 48 hour intervals and will track if the hcg (human growth hormone) is doubling as it should be. If it is still rising then after 6 and a half weeks or so a sac would be seen on an internal scan.
Fingers crossed for you, I have been through a MC and know what you are going through hugs xxx

Hi im so sorry your dealing with this such a horrible thing to go through and getting no answers - can you go to a EPU ( early pregnancy unit) hopefully should have one in your local hospital!

Good luck i hope all is well xxxx

hey hun

Im sorry, i know it is worrying, it could just be implantation bleeding though if it is not too heavy..

what your GP said is not correct... they can not do an internal scan until around 7 weeks as nothing will be seen, but if you go to your EPU (early pregnancy unit) at the hospital, they can check your blood... Basically you go every 2 days, and have it taken, with a developing pregnancy the level of hormones in your blood should double every two days...

I would go today, just to put your mind at rest if anything

Good luck hun xx
