Pregnancy

6 months and already going insane with impatience!

Aarrgghh!

So I am 27+2 and already want baby out!

Ok, obviously I don't mean I want her out at 27 weeks growth, but I just wish I was full term already Sad

Half the time I am really impatient because I just want to see her and give her a little cuddle, then the other half I am already super fed up from not being able to do things normally, especially now I can't walk or breathe normally.

I suppose I just need to have a moan Sad

Anyone else feel like this?

I'm thinking of pioneering a cryogenic process where women can get pg, check themselves into some lovely Champneys-like place at whatever stage they get fed up 6, 7, 8 months, whatever and then they get put into a state of suspended animation til the birth.

I reckon I'd rake it in be providing a welcome public service. I could probably get a government and all Grin

Perhaps I'd get to be a Dame? What fun!

LDN I feel exactly the same as you! I'm 27 + 6, really want to meet baby (obvs full term though!)
Saying that the house is a tip and I have sooo much to sort out before he/she arrives!!
I have my 28 week scan on Friday so I am really looking forward to seeing mini one again :D

Button count me in on the champneys styleee idea!

Another impatient 6 monther here! Am 27+5 and just can't wait for baby to arrive, although obviously don't want a premie Wink

DH is the same as me - his constant refrain for the last 6 months has been that 9 months is just too long!

Am getting very tired too of the negative sides to pregnancy - the tiredness, nausea (yup, still feeling sick at 27 weeks!), the random pains and twinges, a baby who is lovely and active but seems to love kicking me just when I want to go to sleep, being unable to sleep more than 2 hours in a row, the comments from people about the size of my bump.....and breathe!

I just want to get on with being a mummy. DH and I both can't wait until we've got our own baby that we can cuddle as long as we want, without having to give him back Grin

Ooh im 30 weeks today and Ive wanted it all to be over as soon as I had that BFP. Feels like its taking forever. Then again Im quite happy to put off the sleepless nights as long as i can too.

LDNmummy · 09/07/2011 12:18

Bartimaeus you are still having nausea! That would tip me over the edge. I commend you.

Feel much better now, I think I needed a little rant Grin

Good luck ladies, we are all a little closer than we were three months ago and I will be focussing on that for a while Smile

I completely know how you feel. I am 25 weeks and this seems to be taking forever! I just want to meet my baby! We have absolutely tons to get ready at home before the little one arrives, but I'm not finding pregnancy much fun and want to get it done with!

7 months and it only gets worse....SOOOO fed up. at 6 months i was excited about meeting him, now i just want him out for the relief of my discomfort, constant tiredness, emerging stretch marks, and inability to stop eating. i have convinced myself that he will come at 37 weeks, just to reduce the misery of the next 9. am i bad mother?!

Report
SchrodingersMew · 10/07/2011 19:27

KittyElise I have also convinced myself he will come out at 37 weeks! You're not a bad Mother just the same as me and fed up. :o

And Shock the stretchmarks! Every morning I could cry when I wake up and see a new one.

Ilovekittyelise · 10/07/2011 19:41

schrodingers....so gutted by the stretchmarks, have been marinating in bio oil since day one, taking pregnacare plus, zinc, pounds and pounds of fresh fruit and veg. so far there are only 3 or 4, but they are like a threat of things to come...and they ITCH.

SchrodingersMew · 10/07/2011 19:53

Mines don't itch but I am starting to get loads!!! Not big ones but right across the bottom of my tummy. :( I've never had them before now.

I literally woke up one morning and they were there, I nearly cried!

I think bio-oil is shit for them, I have strawberry body butter from the body shop that seems to be making them a little better, and mines don't itch. Confused

Report
Ilovekittyelise · 10/07/2011 20:07

ooooh i might have to try the body butter too. i have also been using a water based moisturiser alternately; just to cover all bases.

i was the same, literally woke up one morning, about 29 weeks, and there they were, the little bastards. how far along were you when yours appeared, and now, and have many more come along?

agree re the bio oil, its been a huge disappointment both in prevention and cure!

I'm 27+2, and starting to get fed up too!

Just frustrated by how little I can do at times, and I'm not enjoying the worry about the baby being ok......didn't worry this much with DD, so God knows whats going on there....

I love being pg generally, but I am so desperate to meet her and to know that she is ok.

As for stretchmarks, try Lush's Therapy massage bar - I didn't get any with DD, and used this (although suspect it may be genetic, as my mum and sister didn't get then either) - smells lovely too! Much more affordable that Bio oil, and lasts a while too.

Wish I had shares in the company that makes Gaviscon too - bloody spending a fortune on the stuff, and I just drink it straight from the bottle!

Ilovekittyelise · 10/07/2011 20:28

lovemysleep - love the sound of the lush bar, even if it does naff all for the stretch marks could do with any kind of mental boost to cheer me a little! ya i also neck the G straight from the bottle. its on my bedside table, like a little old man.

it's supposed to be good for chilling you out too - maybe I should slather some on every hour to stop me being a worrywort/hormonal crazy woman?
As for Gaviscon, am about to glug some down - and then maybe a pork pie after???? Smile......other thread has given me a craving - bugger!

32 weeks here and I'm feeling surprisingly patient, I can't think why, I guess I'm just enjoying my full nights sleep!
I must admit that I'd like to be able to just pull her out to have a look at her but then I'd be completely happy to just put her back for the next 8 weeks!
I'm enjoying all the kicks, she's much more active than dd was
Is it your first op? I think with your first you are much less patient, I know I was

Report
SchrodingersMew · 10/07/2011 21:17

Kitty I was about 23 weeks when mines decided to show, I am 27 weeks now. And yes, lots more have appeared since the first few. :(

I drink lots and eat lots of fruit as well, it definitely doesn't help!

I agree mrsrhett, I remember last time I was so bored and fed up from about 20 weeks plus + !
This time the time has gone so much quicker and I almost feel unready at 26 weeks.

35+5 here and am still excited but it's slowly dawning on me that in order to meet baby I'm going to have to give birth

Ilovekittyelise, you know you can get Gaviscon on prescription, and therefore free, right? At my surgery I don't even have to see the doctor - I just asked the MW and she said the receptionist can sort a prescription out for me.

Oh gosh ivor! I'm sooo unready! And dd being 5 means that I'm completely unused to sleepless nights, its the winding at 3am that I'm not looking forward to, I don't mind waking up to feed but the winding!
My friend who's expecting her first has had her hospitol bag ready since her 20 week scan! Its only just dawned on me that I need to get things like maternity pads and some big pants, I'm much less organized than I was with dd Grin
