Cravings?

In my first trimester I had the usual cravings - beetroot & pickles etc. I'm now 25 +1 and all of a sudden I'm now craving cereals - weetabix and Alpen with lots of raisins! A few weeks ago I couldn't get enough chocolate.

Is it normal to have cravings now?? And is it particularly healthy to be having 4 bowls a day Grin

I had a mad craving for feta at 18 weeks, but my cravings only seem to last a few days at a time before i'm moving on to something else.
Cravings are very normal right until the end, apparently! I'm sure cereals are one of the things you don't really have to worry about.

Funnily enough I can't contemplate starting the day without a bowl of cereal whereas normally I'm not particularly bothered about breakfast. And Alpen is one of my cereals of choice!! I'm also getting through quite a lot of malt loaf and chocolate raisins... so there is definitely a dried fruit theme there!

Have been eating cocopops which I haven't had since I was a kid but think of it as 3 in one, wanting chocolate, cold milk and cerial. Also had lots of banana and ice cream which helps with heartburn and cramp. Glad I do not have pica though as my friend ate soil during both her pregnancys.

Same here wit hthe cereal. Before I was preganant, I would not eat anything until I had been up and about for about two hours otherwise I would be sick. Since being pregnant, I have to have cereal first thing. I have been working my way through different ones through the pregnancy- rice krispies, coco pops, cornflakes and now honey waffles. Recently been having it for lunch too. I also have had a craving for chalk. I used to eat chalk as a child, and as that woudn't be a sensible thing to do now, am finding that the boots calcium carbonate tablets I am taking for heartburn suffice.

I've never been a great fan of cereal but since I got pregnant I've loved it for breakfast! I think it's the texture, the cold milk and the quickly accessible carbs that do it.

It's normal to crave things right the way through - the day before I went into labour with DS I had a mini-rage going because I could get hold of the "right" apples.

I'm craving garlic, honey, and pineapple this time (not together thankfully!).

I always have to have either alpen or coco pops first thing its quicker than anything else lol sometimes get up in the middle of the night and have some.

Cravings have been for ice lollies!!
Cant get enough of the ice pops its just the ice seems to stop me feeling sick and settles me a bit.

Also cheese sandwiches and pickled onion monster munch lol!!

Trying to get more fruit in at the moment. So glad havent got the pica and dont start eating sofas or anything lolxx

I'm 35 weeks and my cravings are smells, not foods - I'm addicted to the smell of woodchips Blush So much so that I poured myself a little bowl of (clean, new) cat litter to sniff this morning.

I'm the opposite. I don't have any cravings but I have a complete aversion to chocolate and sweets. Certainly never had this before I was pregnant.

It's all very disappointing as I was looking forward to a decent portion of chocolate rather than my pre pregnant odd handful of malteasers allocation!

When I was pg with DD I had to drink a pint of really cold milk every day. It started off as milkshakes in the first trimester but eventually just became milk.

As soon as she was born it never even crossed my mind to drink milk.

Now 23 weeks with dc2. I thought milk might be the ms cure and was sick. I can only just drink it in one cup of tea a day.

Bizarre. This time round it's feta, peanut M&Ms and sundried tomatoes (M&Ms eaten on their own).
