I'm going out for a chinese tonight and was wondering what the consensus was about eating prawns. Some websites say it's ok, some say to avoid.I thought I'd check with the mn jury!
Id be inclined to avoid them shoejunkie, I think its if they are off theres a risk of salmonella or listeria, Ive had salmonella from a hoiday in Turkey.... U dont want it! How far gone are u? x
I say ok as long as cooked through and piping hot! Would eat them if I'd cooked them myself; would be more dubious about a chinese if they'd been sitting there for a bit!
I would at home, wouldn't out.
Harry I'm only 6 weeks. Thanks everyone.
cooked shellfish is fine, I've eaten prawns all through pg.
Yes. If they're pink, they're cooked, ergo they should be absolutely fine.
